    Fox News analyst Gianno Caldwell recently weighed in on Tory Lanez’s case during The Big Weekend Show on May 17. He claimed he had studied the musician’s case for six months to publish an op-ed with a news outlet. Caldwell delivered his verdict, alleging that George Gascón, the former Los Angeles D.A., “railroaded” Lanez. For the unversed, railroading a legal case means to “convict with undue haste and by means of false charges or insufficient evidence.” The political analyst said:

    “The artist known as Tory Lanez is currently recovering after being stabbed in prison. The attack occurred after The New York Post made contact with Megan Thee Stallion’s team regarding an op-ed that I was working on with them, and Lanez was then stabbed, days later. But his representatives claimed that Megan’s ex-best friend, Kelsey Harris, is the one responsible for the shooting.”

    He added, “Now, I’ve been looking into this case for almost 6 months now, and I immediately learned that George Gascon, the prosecutor, railroaded Tory Lanez. And I’ve been actively working on this, working on this story, and this has been something that is quite a movement.”

    Gianno Caldwell Claimed Tory Lanez Suffered Injustice

    Prior to his time on the May 17 episode on Fox News, Gianno Caldwell also queried Tory Lanez’s sentencing. At the May 14 press conference organized by the singer’s team, he supported the rapper. Caldwell claimed the court denied Tory Lanez a fair trial,” per Hot 97.

    “Mr. Peterson was never given a fair trial, free from bias, political interference and media-driven pressure,” he said.

    Caldwell also criticized George Gascón’s handling of the case and his attitude toward Kelsey Harris at the press conference. He asked why Harris, Megan’s former best friend, was able to plead the Fifth Amendment during her testimony. This happened despite her not being accused of any crime. The press conference followed Tory Lanez’s accident, where a fellow inmate at the California Correctional Center stabbed him 14 times. His legal team is claiming Harris, not their client, shot Megan in July 2020.

    Meanwhile, Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has responded to the claims of an unfair trial, calling them baseless. He insisted that the conviction and sentencing followed due process.

    Who Is Gianno Caldwell?

    Gianno Caldwell is a “television host, political analyst, consultant, author, and speaker,” according to his website. He holds a degree in psychology and got his first political job at 14 at the local alderman’s office. Caldwell has been a political analyst at Fox News since 2017. He has also contributed to The Washington Times, American CurrentSee Magazine, and The Hill.

    In 2013, he founded Caldwell Strategic Consulting, a “bipartisan firm” that “provides strategic advice and consulting in the areas of public affairs.” After Tory Lanez’s stabbing, Caldwell started a Change.org petition, which has over 250k signatures, to seek Lanez’s pardon.

    Per CNN, the report reads, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.” It continued, “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.” The official statement added that Joe Biden and his family “are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

    The update about Joe Biden’s prostate cancer comes days after a spokesperson revealed that the former president needed some evaluation. They said that the care team had discovered a “small nodule” on Biden’s prostate. This is not the first time the former president battled concerns about his health. There were many concerns about Biden suffering cognitive decline during his last days in office. However, the former statesman, wife, and aides consistently denied those allegations.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, prostate cancer is quite common in men. It is the second leading cancer type, after skin cancer, affecting men.

    Thankfully, it is often discovered early, according to Mayo Clinic urologist Mitchell Humphreys, and it is curable, especially if found early. Other treatment options exist if the cancer has spread to other areas. Prostate cancer can be assigned a grade level known as a Gleason score, and the most aggressive form is level 9.

    Tory Lanez’s team is still working hard to get the rapper out of jail with new evidence they obtained. They recently held a press conference with Unite the People (UTP), a nonprofit that champions social justice and legal advocacy. During the conference, UTP’s lead legal consultant, Walter Roberts, revealed that Kelsey Harris’s bodyguard and driver had shared a statement. Harris was Meghan’s former best friend, and her bodyguard, Bradley James, claimed Lanez didn’t shoot Meghan.

    Roberts said, “Not long ago, Unite the People was approached by a gentleman, Bradley James. Mr James informed us he was working as the bodyguard and driver for Ms. Kelsey Harris during Mr. Peterson’s trial. As such, he was in close proximity and he had privy to conversations she was having with her husband and others.” Roberts added that James didn’t sign a confidentiality clause that would have prevented him from speaking out, and his conscience didn’t permit him to leave an innocent man in prison.

    The legal consultant continued, “Mr. James informed Unite the People that he was witness to the conversation Mr. Harris had where she stated she had the gun, she fired it three times, Mr. Peterson grabbed her arm and knocked it down, and the gun fired two more times. In essence, Mr. Peterson never shot anybody, never even touched the gun, never fired the gun.”

    Tory Lanez’s Team Hasn’t Submitted New Evidence

    Meanwhile, despite claiming it exonerates their client, Tory Lanez hasn’t submitted the evidence. Legal reporter Meghann Cuniff shared the news in a recent post where she discussed Lanez’s stabbing.

    Cuniff wrote, “The claim of new evidence hasn’t been filed in the appellate case. Until it is, it’s not going to factor into anything.”

    However, Tory Lanez’s fans have pointed out that his case had been briefed before the new evidence came up. They noted that it likely contributes to the delay since any additional evidence submitted will delay the process. In the meantime, Lanez’s team has started a petition to get him out of jail following this week’s stabbing incident. Another inmate, 42-year-old Santino Casio, stabbed Lanez 14 times in the back, torso, back of his head, and face. Casio is a convicted murderer with a long history of violence and is already serving a life sentence.

    Since then, he has been placed in restricted housing while authorities investigate the incident, and the rapper is in recovery. Meanwhile, the petition urging Governor Gavin Newsom to “correct a deep injustice” by freeing Lanez has received over 100,000 signatures.

    Tory Lanez’s legal team has questioned what they call “irregularities” in the shooting case. This includes asking why only the songwriter’s DNA was taken. However, Meghan Thee Stallion insists her fellow rapper shot her in the foot in the July 2020 incident.     Chris Brown Remanded In U.K. Prison

    Chris Brown will remain in the U.K., but not for the reason he went there. A judge ordered him to be kept in custody following a hearing today, May 16. The Loyal singer was arrested early Thursday morning on account of a violent incident involving him in February 2023. He had flown into the U.K. for a tour. However, authorities picked him up at the five-star Lowry Hotel in Salford, Manchester, at 2 a.m. Chris Brown appeared before a judge, who ordered him remanded until his next hearing.

    The Under The Influence singer appeared in court today, flanked by two security guards in the dock. His dress in the Manchester Magistrates Court comprised a black T-shirt and black jogging bottoms. Brown confirmed that he was born Christopher Maurice Brown and provided his date of birth and address.

    Prosecutor Says Chris Launched “Unprovoked Attack”

    The prosecuting counsel, Hannah Nicholls, described the February 2023 incident. She noted that Diaw, the victim, stood at the bar of the Tape nightclub on February 19, the incident date. Nicholls claimed that Brown launched an “unprovoked attack,” striking the music producer with a bottle multiple times.

    Per The Guardian, she said, “The defendant then pursued him to a separate area of the nightclub where the victim was punched and kicked repeatedly by him and another.”

    After hearing the case, District Judge Joanne Hirst said it was “too serious” to be adjudicated in her court. She forwarded it to the Southwark Crown Court in London for a plea and trial preparation hearing on June 13. Judge Hirst also denied Chris Brown’s bail application and ordered him remanded.

    She then asked the singer if he understood the proceedings, and Brown confirmed he did. Before being remanded in prison, Chris Brown had set tour dates for June and July. He was in the U.K. for his Breezy Bowl XX tour, which included stops in Manchester, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, Villa Park in Birmingham, and Hampden Park in Glasgow. Meanwhile, numerous fans waited outside the court to support the Go Crazy singer before his hearing.

    Chris Brown Attacked Music Producer With A Bottle

    Abe Diaw filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown eight months after the latter hit him multiple times with a bottle.  Diaw said he suffered “severe and lasting injuries” from being hit with a Don Julio bottle. He also alleged that the Run It singer proceeded to “ruthlessly stomp on” him, kicking him in the back of the neck. Diaw said this left him unconscious for 30 seconds.

    The music producer said the attack sent him to the hospital with injuries. He  had multiple “lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg.” He also accused Brown of defaming him. Diaw said the singer spread false rumors about him and his clients to hurt his professional credibility.

    Despite his penchant for causing trouble, Chris Brown’s being remanded was probably not in his calculations this year. Fans are hoping their idol will get lucky and not go to jail.
