Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast featured the trending rapper on her November 8 episode. The women talked about family, with Coi Leray giving an in-depth analysis of life as a child from a broken home. The 25-year-old, who is not on good terms with her ex-rapper dad, did not go easy on him.
She accused him of being envious of her success, adding that he wants to share the limelight with her.
Coi Leray chimed in:
“At first it was rocky because I felt like he couldn’t handle my success I felt like it it did come from an envious place which is OK cuz he’s human and it’s fine.”
She explained that Benzoni always wants to be linked to her, and he cannot see her shine alone. This explanation explains how he behaves in social space, including their frequent spat online.

“How expletives be envious towards someone I RAISED, NUTURED, PROVIDED FOR, INFLUENCED AND LOVE VERY DEARLY???”
He called out the entertainment industry for feeding off such tasteless narratives of in-house drama. Benzoni admitted that he was hurt, sad, and disappointed at the accusations. Before signing off, the former rapper charged Martinez, who interviewed his daughter. He said the podcast creator was “manipulative and messy” because of her hate for him.
