Dev Patel and Sobita Dhulipala’s “Monkey Man” Set For Direct OTT Release, Acquired by Netflix For $30 Million

Known for his performance in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Dev Patel has enamored viewers with various projects, including ‘Lion’, Hotel Mumbai, and The Man Who Knew Infinity. Patel, not only will star but will also make his directorial debut with Monkey Man.

The new trailer for this film has drawn much praise, displaying a story about revenge on the criminal underworld. Patel is joined by an impressive cast including Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Vipin Sharma, and Sikandar Kher along with the international debut of Sobita Dhulipala in “Made In Heaven.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film known to be released on the OTT platform was acquired by Netflix for an astounding $30 million. Although Netflix aims to release the film globally, several international territories have already been won, which is an incredible stride for this hotly anticipated project.
