Exhibiting Forgiveness is an upcoming drama film produced and directed by Titus Kaphar. The film has made it to the US Dramatic Competition of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah.

The film explores family, generational healing, and the power of forgiveness. The movie takes us through the life of a Black artist who attempts to rid the trauma he encountered in his past through painting.

While on this path to success, he receives a surprise visit from his father who had been out of his life.

His father, a recovering addict, is desperate to patch things up and amend their relationship. The father and son on their journey to calling it a truce soon realized the struggle that comes with forgetting the pain as opposed to forgiving for the damages caused by the trauma.

Tarrell finds himself dealing with anxiety, one that sends a wave of destructive shock to the family.
In this film a man will analyze life intensely, from a perspective point where many can relate to as they’re at a cross road with making life-changing decisions to forgive, or to cut his father off completely. Tarrell’s father La’Ron claims to have found Christ during his time away.
