Doja Cat’s brother, Raman Dalithando Dlamini, has been found and served legal papers filed by their mother. The 30-year-old will now have to look into the restraining order papers for the first time, as he was finally handed the documents after several failed attempts to reach him.

Doja Cat’s Mom Asks Court for a Restraining Order While Maintaining That Her Son Was Abusive

Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer has asked the court for a restraining order while maintaining that her son was abusive. She accused Raman of stealing from his sister and physically and verbally abusing both her and Doja Cat. According to court documents, this treatment has left Doja feeling “unsafe and traumatized.”

The complaint labeled her son as being abusive by showing violence towards her. Raman allegedly threatened to kill his own mother. Deborah revealed in court that she had previously obtained a temporary restraining order in 2017 due to his behavior, but it has since expired.

TMZ reported that Doja’s mom got what she asked for. Despite the temporary restraining order, Raman will need to exercise extra caution as it may be made permanent in the future. However, the court refused to grant protection to Doja, as the judge expected her to file a personal complaint.

Dlamini Hit With Restraining Order

According to an article on Radar Online, on January 23, Raman was discovered in his apartment in Studio City, CA. After two attempts to reach him, he was served the papers filed by his mom.

Before receiving the restraining order, Doja Cat’s brother cleared his name of any wrongdoing. Raman told TheShadeRoom that he had been estranged from his family for years. In his own words: “I haven’t seen anybody in years. There’s no story. There’s no restraining order against me.”

In the wake of the restraining order saga, Doja chose to focus on her career. The rapper is not shedding light on the family situation. However, she is working hard to bring her A-game as a headliner for this year’s Coachella, which is scheduled for April.
