Drake is getting fans much more excited than he did after announcing his break from music. The 37-year-old told the crowd at St.Louis during his last tour stop that he might not go anywhere.
Drake Announces Music Break
Back in October, the God’s Plan crooner released a new track titled For All The Dogs. At the same time, he was getting ready to draw the curtain on his It’s All A Blur Tour. However, he gave fans a shocker after he noted that there would be a music break; Drake shared, per VIBE:
“I probably won’t make music for a little bit.”
His reason was simple: the rapper wanted to take time to rejuvenate. He didn’t pinpoint any specific medical diagnosis, other than a recurrent stomach problem.
“I’m going to be real with you: I need to focus on my health, first and foremost — and I’ll talk about that soon enough. Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life. I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach so I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m going to do that. I have a lot of other things that I would love to focus on,” the singer added.
Champagne Papi Will Likely Bounce Back to Music
Following the break from music news, Drake wasted no time in calming fans down when he announced his It’s All A Blur: Big As The What? Tour with J. Cole. On February 13, after Drake touched down in St. Louis, it was difficult to say goodbye to fans. The Toronto bred shared that he won’t be leaving the music scenery like he said in October.
In his words:
“You know, I said I was taking a break and all that sh*t, but I’m right back on the road again.”
Drake continued:
“It’s hard for me to stay away from y’all — I really do love you. You never know, I might get bored and start making some new music on the road, see where it goes in the next little while.”
Fans can keep the enthusiasm for now till April 16 when the tour with J.Cole will come to an end. After that, they will see whether Drake is disciplined enough to look away from his first love.
