Fans will have to wait for 2025 before they see Euphoria season 3. This announcement was recently confirmed by Variety months after many wondered when the series would release a new season. But now that the wait is over and they know the year, why is Euphoria season 3 taking so long?
Everything To Note About Euphoria Season 3 Release Date
The only reason why Euphoria season 3 is taking so long is because Sam Levinson intends to reinvent Zendaya’s character. Since the show’s inception, the creator has slapped fans with exciting stories, and he may do it again.
Before adding a teaser online, Levinson said Rue, played by Zendaya, would be a person with “principles in a corrupted world.”
Those Who Left Before The Show Before Season 3
While Zendaya’s part is confirmed, some of her co-stars have said their goodbyes to the show. A year ago, Barbie Ferreira announced her retirement from Euphoria, adding that she won’t be back for the third season. Unfortunately, Angus Cloud will not be showing up following his untimely death at age 25.
Recall that there are a host of notable faces in the series. Characters at the peak of their youth include Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Dominic Fike, among others.
Not to forget that your other favorite faces have been Nika King, Javon Walton, Storm Reid, Austin Abrams, and Eric Dane.
There is no doubt that Levinson will deliver when the time comes, as the showrunner has proven his expertise in two seasons. He also has a reputable career with impressive stories up his sleeves. Levinson is responsible for The Last Of Us, The White Lotus, and more recently, The Idol.
However, while the first two series prepared to further their stories, the latest one ended abruptly. The Idol, which featured singer The Weeknd, was dropped by HBO after season one.
