Just days after going viral for his expertise in shooting a video with a VHS, Drake chimes in support of Tory Lanez. The disgraced rapper is currently spending time behind bars following a guilty verdict for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. Sadly, fans are not too pleased with Drake’s move.

Drake’s Support For Tory Lands Him In Trouble With Fans

Drake woke up with thoughts of Tory in his mind as he shared a post honoring the prison inmate in the early morning hours. The “God’s Plan” rapper updated a monochrome image of Tory on his Instagram story with the caption “3 you.” This move made fans think that the Canadian native was drumming support for his fellow Canadian-born rapper.

Tory Lanez, currently serving a ten-year sentence that began in 2022, had been referenced by Drake before. However, fans refused to see it as genuine love. As reported by The Jasmine Brand, one person quipped:

“I don’t get it. He was even begging for a Drake feature and got aired, he shoots Meg and now they’re buddies.”

Another doubled down on the conviction that Drake behaved corny. The fan declared:

“Drake’s actions are so corny. He is NOT someone I’m willing to separate from the music. All of it can go”

Some fans believed it was Drake’s way of dissing Megan Thee Stallion. In 2022, following news of the trial and eventual verdict, Drake cooked up a line to address the shooting in his Circo Loco song. He established that Megan was lying about the incident with Tory. Lil Yachty wasted no time defending Drake, claiming that Megan was never the subject.

Megan did not fold her arms and allow the drama to unfold; instead, she entered the studio to react to Drake’s disses. In her Hiss track, Megan ridiculed Drake’s accent while adding that he moved around with scars. For now, she has yet to sign off on another diss track addressing Drake’s reference to Tory Lanez, but fans seem to have done justice with their attacks on the rapper.
