Over 200 students in metro Atlanta are ending the week with joy and fresh footwear, thanks to FedEx. Volunteers from the non-profit organization surprised the students at Heritage Elementary with brand-new shoes, as reported by WSBTV.
The volunteers from FedEx Cares were present to assist the children in tying their new shoelaces. This is all a part of a national non-profit called
“Operation Warm.”
“I’m Super duper excited, Ms. Parker! I’m getting new shoes! So we appreciate it,”
one student said. The children were also given new socks from Atlanta-based Delta Airlines, reports note.
