Four individuals are facing serious charges in connection to a murder-for-hire plot that resulted in the death of a teenage girl in Florida, per Fox News.

The victim, Isabella Scavelli, had reported a sexual assault to the police before she was shot and killed at her home. It is alleged that the suspect, Lenard White hired two men, Sheldon Robinson and Keshawn Woods, to carry out the murder because Scavelli had spoken out after he assaulted her. The mother of Scavelli was also severely injured during the barrage of gunfire.

According to law enforcement, Robinson even posted an ad on social media seeking help for the job, offering money and drugs as payment.

Sheriff Al Nienhuis, of the HCSO, said ammunition matching the gun used in the crime was later found in the backyard of Robinson’s home. All three individuals involved have been arrested and charged with various crimes including conspiracy to commit murder for hire, murder for hire, and discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence, officials said.

Additionally, Robinson’s mother, Janet Williams, has been charged with providing false statements to authorities. If convicted, the perpetrators may face life in prison or the death penalty, while Williams could be sentenced to up to five years in federal prison.

Nienhuis praised the young girl and expressed his sorrow for her tragic death.

“She was a good kid with a very bright future and to see her life cut short is heart-wrenching to say the least. Words cannot even express it,”

he said.
