Billboard Women in Music Awards have their eyes on Ice Spice. At 24, the Bronx native will be going home with the hitmaker award for her hit tracks and consistency.

Billboard Women in Music Awards Will Target Ice Spice For The Hitmaker Award

The last time the Billboard Women in Music Awards gave such an honor to an artist was in 2020. They gave Dolly Parton, a seasoned country singer; now, the organizers are set to do the same thing. Despite not being all that long in the game, Ice Spice ticks all the boxes for the Hitmaker awards.

HipHopDX says her drill tunes have earned her four top 10 hits in 2023. This included two of her songs and two others with her as a featured artist. The songs on the list are Princess Diana and Barbie World, which both featured Nicki Minaj. The other two on the list were original works by Taylor Swift and Pink Pantheress — Karma and Boy’s A Liar, Pt.2.

Diana Ross’s daughter, Tracee Ellis Ross, has been tapped to host the Billboard Women in Music Awards. The event will be held on March 6 at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. Hannah Karp, who sits as Billboard’s editorial director, promises that the event will be “unforgettable.”

According to her, the evening will focus on honoring women who have pushed boundaries through their musical achievements. She said:

“We could not be more excited to celebrate these inspiring and dynamic artists from around the world, as they move our culture forward and inspire women everywhere to push boundaries and pursue their dreams.”

As Ice Spice gets ready to receive an award for her work ethic, she is still up and running with hits. The rapper who is lined up to perform at the Coachella recently released her Think U The Shit (Fart) track. It has already generated controversy, thanks to her lyrics shading fellow rapper Latto.
