Adam Sandler will be reuniting with Uncut Gems co-director Josh Safdie for a new comedy special set to air on Netflix. However, there are not enough details about the production such as a title, production timeline, or even premiere date.

According to Variety, the project continues Sandler’s string of collaborations with Safie, who co-directed him in 2019’s ‘Uncut Gems’ alongside his brother Benny Safdie. Following the release and success of the previous work, Sandler starred in the brothers’ 2020 short film ‘Goldman v. Silverman’ and is set to lead an upcoming feature set in the world of sports memorabilia to be directed by Josh and produced by Benny.

Still currently untitled, the upcoming special will be Sandler’s second at Netflix, following his 2018 set “100% Fresh” which received a 90% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The actor has been characteristically busy with a bunch of projects since then, starring in three movies alone last year, including “Murder Mystery 2” with Jennifer Aniston, “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” (featuring the entire Sandler family), and the animated film Leo. As it stands now, his only project on the docket for 2024 is Spaceman, a sci-fi film set to premiere on Netflix on March 1.
