Congratulations are in order for Real Housewives of Atlanta star and restaurant owner Kandi Burruss after receiving an ‘A’ health score at her Atlanta restaurant Old Lady Gang following a two year
“struggle,”
RADAR Online reported.
According to official records obtained by RADAR, the good news was declared on March 1st after the restaurant was reinspected by the Georgia Department of Public Health. The restaurant owners, Kandi Burruss, and her husband Todd Tucker obtained an ‘A’ rating receiving a 100 out of 100 score.
Previously the restaurant reportedly had a ‘C’ health score with a total of 75. Health department investigators reportedly noted seeing
“sliced cheese, raw salmon, and sliced tomatoes being kept at a temperature above 41 degrees,”
reports reveal. The report read,
“Working containers of food removed from original container not identified by common name.”
In a separate health inspection, investigators said the main kitchen had no soap as well as reports of sliced cheese, raw hamburger, shrimp, chicken, and crab cake not being stored at the proper temperature.
“Observed no soap in employee handing wash sink on cook line and in bar,”
the note read.
Burruss and Tucker’s other restaurant Blaze was also awarded an ‘A’ rating after being temporarily shut down two years prior for a failed inspection. Blaze received a score of 91 out of 100 during the recent visit with one reported issue with two employees who wore
“no hair restraint”
while prepping food. They were instructed to
“put on a hair restraint and wash hands [before returning] to work.”
