Miller’s Girl is an upcoming American drama directed and written by Jade Halley Bartlett, and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The film is set to be released in January 2024

Starring Jenna Ortega as Cairo Sweet and Jonathan as Martin Freeman, it showcases a talented student and an enthusiastic teacher pair who enter a dark relationship after she writes a creative assignment that yields a complex result.

When Cairo’s friend asks her what she is writing about and she discloses it, she proceeds to tell her to write something that’ll make him love her. She goes to submit it at his home and smokes a cigarette with him outside.

After the teacher reads her essay, he is furious and demands why she wrote something inappropriate. In response, she boldly says,

“Write what you know is what you said.”

The teacher then acknowledges that he had no choice but to fail her for it, to which she fearlessly responds

“I dare you”.

The story follows the path Martin wishes to take and the consequences that follow as he delays to take decisive action.
