Tran Dang’s alleged episode with producers on Love is Blind may be past, but it is not forgotten. The onscreen star, who was never featured in the show’s final material, has come forward with accusations against her former bosses. Despite being in a relationship with fellow competitor Thomas Smith, not many viewers are familiar with Dang.

But she claims to have worked with the producers during season 5. However, Dang alleges that some people on the inside crossed boundaries with her.

Tran Dang’s Sexual Assault Claims

Sources from TMZ report that Dang was engaged to Smith during their time in the pod (where contestants fall in love or form connections before meeting each other). But perhaps that should have been where their relationship ended. According to Dang, Smith could not keep his hands off her during their filming in Mexico.

In fact, his behavior towards her was aggressive. According to the complainant, who has now taken legal action, Smith “incessantly groped” her. Additionally, he consistently made unwanted sexual contact with his naked body despite her objections.

The crux of the matter is that after reporting the incidents to the producers, they failed to take it seriously and ultimately dismissed her concerns.

But that’s not all! Dang’s legal papers also explain that the producers kept her confined to her hotel room during filming. She was under 24-hour supervision and believes these restrictions merely appeased the producers, who likely captured the alleged events on camera.

Love Is Blind Producers Respond to Tran Dang’s Accusations

The show’s producers are unwilling to accept this narrative. Since Dang filed her lawsuit in August 2022, Chris Coelen has maintained that he was unaware of her experiences while filming the show. However, he has expressed his commitment to helping those who have suffered sexual abuse under his watch.
