Doctor Strange was released in 2016 and starred Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, a Master of the Mystic Arts and the movie’s villain. It also starred Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the main character in his first standalone film in the MCU.

In an interview with Business Insider, Mads Mikkelsen was asked which was the most fun on-set experience he’s had of all his movies. “The most fun must’ve been Doctor Strange because I got to do two things I love: doing magic and flying kung Fu,” he admitted.

Mads also said that he had some trouble understanding the Doctor Strange screenplay, but he also mentioned that it wasn’t a big deal because of the “psychedelic” nature of the source material.

Mads Mikkelsen mentioned that if he had the chance, he would love to play Kaecilius again in Doctor Strange. He expressed his desire to revisit this character among all the roles he has played. He humorously acknowledged the challenge of doing so, as his characters often meet unfortunate fates in various film franchises.
