Man Arrested For ‘Describing Sexual Acts’ To Child and Threatening To Shoot Students, Police Say

According to arrest affidavits obtained by WSBTV, 27-year-old Andrew Garrett Burke has been charged with multiple felonies for threatening to shoot school children and “engaging in graphic written matter describing sex acts” to a minor he believed was younger than 16 years old.

According to arrest affidavits obtained by WSBTV, 27-year-old Andrew Garrett Burke has been charged with multiple felonies for threatening to shoot school children and

“engaging in graphic written matter describing sex acts”

to a minor he believed was younger than 16 years old.

The arrest took place on January 21 by the Floyd deputies.

He also faces charges for terroristic threats after threatening to

“shoot up a school or kill a few people,”

according to sheriff’s office records per the outlet. 

A man named Burke is facing serious allegations, including sending inappropriate photos and videos of himself engaging in sexual activities to someone he thought was a minor. These alleged crimes took place over a span of three days, as stated in the affidavits. 

Burke now faces charges of obscene internet contact with a child, electronically providing explicit material to minors, and making terroristic threats. According to sheriff’s records, he has been denied bond.
