A crew member working on Marvel’s Wonder Man TV series is reported to have died after falling off the rafters onto a stage on the 6th of February.
According to Deadline, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, the deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Juan Carlos, who lived in Temple City. The incident took place at the Radford Studio Center in Studio City Los Angeles.
The Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration (OSHA) has launched an investigation into the incident. Also, the filming for Wonder Man was not ongoing at the time, and as a result, production was stopped after the accident.
A Marvel spokesperson confirmed the news and also made a statement saying “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”
“Everyone in the family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues,” said President Matthew D. Loeb. A GoFundMe account has been organized to raise money for Osorio’s family.
