Mia Goth Sued For Allegedly Kicking Background Actor in the Head

James Hunter, a background actor who worked with Mia Goth, sued her after he was let go of the production. Following findings from E! News, James was tapped for the background role of a deceased parishioner in MaXXine. The soon-to-be-released film has Mia as the star, playing Maxine.

His take was to simply act dead while lying in the dirt. Maxine was supposed to “step over him, look down at him, and continue to run.” But as with every great scene, perfection is not derived with the first take. It took about four takes but left James with an unforgettable experience.

The complainant shared via court documents that the actress nearly stepped on him during another attempt to perfect the scene. James did not let it slide as he immediately reported it to an assistant director named John Hall. Hall proceeded to notify Mia Goth about the mistake of kicking the background actor. However, it did not change anything except that it got worse.

In the lawsuit, James Hunter accused Mia Goth of being intentional about the kicks that came after his first report. This time, the actor experienced “headache and stiffness in the neck.”

Despite the hurt, James relayed the message to John, who passed it to the boss, Ti West. He also asked for medical provisions but received none. On top of all that, Mia allegedly bullied him in his private bathroom. She even dared the actor to act accordingly.

The incident, which happened in April 2023, left James traumatized. He suffered an array of symptoms. Upon reaching the hospital, it was determined that he had a concussion.

He is suing Mia for battery and blames her for contract termination. According to James, he was let go shortly after the incident. He wants the case tried by a jury and is requesting about $250,000 in damages. For now, neither Mia nor John is yet to contribute to the matter at hand or refute the accusations.
