Dolly Parton has shown her appreciation for Beyoncé’s latest shift from R&B to Country songs. The veteran country singer told fans on Instagram that she has her ears on the ground while congratulating Queen Bey.

Beyoncé’s Country Songs Earn Praise From Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton’s recent update on Instagram centered on the fact that she has been listening to Beyoncé’s two new country-themed tracks. The iconic country bird voice claimed solidarity for Queen Bey while wishing the singer good luck.

Via Her caption, she wrote:

“I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album. Love, Dolly Parton.”

Like Dolly Parton, a sea of supporters can not wait to hear all that Beyoncé has in store for them. So far, the only country songs Beyonce has churned out are Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages. The first song was record-breaking, placing the R&B singer on the No.1 Billboard Hot Country Song.

As a first-timer on the country charts, Beyoncé became the first black woman to attain such a feat. Meanwhile, 16 Carriages is also gaining traction as it sits at number nine on the country chart.

Fans would recall that Beyoncé shocked them when she dropped news of the country songs during the Super Bowl commercial. Since then, fans have raved about the new music, emphasizing Beyoncé’s prowess as a talented singer. But not everybody thinks Queen Bey played it fair — even fans from the Beyhive.

Singer Azealia Banks isn’t too sure Beyoncé made the right decision. Following the songs’ release, she maintained that Beyoncé lacked the true content of a country singer. Banks added that there was nothing country about her songs, and she could get heavily tongue-lashed for the move. Somehow, things have fallen in line for Beyoncé, who not only emerged at the top of the chart but got a nod from Dolly Parton herself!
