Porsha Williams is beginning the year with a divorce lawsuit filed against her husband, Simon Guobadia. This would mean the couple only enjoyed their marriage for less than two years. Sources say the divorce has nothing to do with Guobadia’s ongoing legal woes.

Porsha Williams And Simon Guobadia’s Romance Headed For the Rocks

Porsha Williams and Simon Gubadia’s relationship became public in 2021. Following the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s failed romance with Dennis McKinley, she moved on with the Nigerian native, who is now faced with deportation issues. They quickly got engaged but waited until the end of 2022 to share their wedding vows.

Just before the ink dried up on their marriage certificate, divorce came calling — from Porsha. According to TMZ, the onscreen diva filed for divorce in an Atlanta court on Feb. 22. While Porsha will have legal issues on one side, on the other, she will concern herself with a new TV deal.

Recently, the reality TV star locked a fresh deal with “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” producers after a two-year hiatus from the show.

Expectedly, Porsha Williams’ likely divorce from Simon Guobadia is enough juice for her comeback on the reality TV show. Producers will be sure to explore the storyline. Sources report that Porsha has retained her husband’s surname for now. But may drop the name as time goes by.

Meanwhile, what remains certain is that Simon isn’t having it easy. He is neck-dipped in immigration troubles as authorities say he is yet to attain US citizenship despite former trials.

Porsha’s husband has been accused of other misdeeds like identity fraud and overstaying in the US without the right documents. Still, Simon doesn’t appear too bothered.
