A black waitress took to TikTok to blast a group of mainly white teens who decided to write a racist

“joke”

instead of a tip on their check.

TikTok user, Amira (@being.amira), has garnered over 4 million views on her video where she addresses her encounter with a group of teenagers who thought it would be funny to write the word

“Black”

on the tip line of their $33 bill.

Amira claims the teenagers were

“a little bit rude”

while she was serving them. However, she continued to do her job but was shocked to see the receipt after closing out their tab.

“So I’m very confused, and then I look around, and the kids are still sitting outside just chilling, eating ice cream. So you know what I did? I went out there,”

Amira said. The following clip shows her walking up to the group of teenage boys.

“Hey guys, I just want a little bit of clarification. What does this mean?”

she asked the group.

“I don’t know,”

one of the boys replied.

“You don’t know what Black means?”

Amira said. The boy originally speaking to Amira jumped in, alleging that he didn’t

“mean”

not to tip  and that he

“didn’t know what that meant,”

referring to the word

“gratuity.”

However, Amira still tried to pry the teens for answers on why they wrote

“Black”

and asked one of the boys if it was his favorite color. The teen said that’s what his friend told him to write.

“Can I tip you?”

the teen insisted, apparently feeling guilty about his and his friend’s actions.

“If that’s what you want to do. I’m not begging you for a tip. I just want to know why you wrote Black on your check,”

Amira answered. Amira is seen walking away after not getting through to the teens. Over 9,000 people commented.

“They’re so bold until you confront them,”

one user wrote in the comments.
