It is almost a year since the filming of Squid Game: The Challenge ended, and the winner, Mai Whelan, has nothing to show for it. Whelan, contestant 287, says she is still expectant. But will she get it?

Squid Game: The Challenge Winner Went All Out To Purchase Items Before The Show

Ten months ago, Squid Game: The Challenge cast said their goodbyes as they wrapped up filming. While some returned heartbroken, Mai Whelan, the Squid Game Challenge Winner, was definitely doing some explaining.

It turns out that the 55-year-old intended to bring on her A-game during the finale. So she opted for a change of look by getting a chic haircut. At the same time, Whelan purchased designer wear — a Ralph Lauren-designed dress and shoes by Jimmy Choo. But payment might have been delayed as she confessed to being in the bad books of the buyers.

Prize Money Yet To Reach Mai Whelan

During an interview with The Times, Wehlan told the media outlet that she is not a millionaire yet. The 55-year-old made a joke about the situation, adding

“I feel like Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire. Show me the money!”

Even though the Squid Game Challenge winner, Mai Whelan, has not gotten her $4,560,000, she hasn’t lost sight of her plans. Once she gets the check from Netflix, the Vietnam native plans to lavish it on a retirement home. That’s not all; Whelan intends to feed her passion for the environment, and this will include funding projects revolving around that topic.

There is no news that Netflix has gone bankrupt, so Whelan’s hope for getting her dough is not a far-reaching dream. TMZ reported that the Squid Game: The Challenge finale shot months ago just aired on December 6.

As for the runner-up, 27-year-old Phil Cain, nobody knows how much he will get or if he will get anything. but it has been established that Wehlan cannot share her millions as contestants had signed a contract That limits them from doing so.
