In regards to the 2024 Oscars awards nominations for the Best Supporting Actor category for their roles in American Fiction and Oppenheimer, Sterling K Brown is honored with his first Oscar nomination. However, he reveals he won’t be the one to take the award home.

The Oscar nominee appeared on the Graham Norton Show where he predicted Robert Downey Jr winning the Oscar for the Best Supporting Actor category ahead of himself. He further described Robert as ‘an incredible actor’ who deserves to win for his work on Christopher Nolan‘s Oppenheimer.

“There’s no losing yet. It will happen in its own due time,” Brown said on the Graham Show on Friday, surrounded by his fellow guest nominees. “Colman will probably win,” Brown added. “I know that I’m not going to win.”

“I’mma tell you, Robert Downey Jr’s gonna win, and he’s incredibly deserving. He’s an incredible actor. Like, you should give him love. The fact that I get a chance to be nominated along with him and Mr. [Robert] De Niro and Ryan Gosling and [Mark] Ruffalo… I’m just happy to be in the room.”
