Suspect In Custody After Body Of North Carolina College Student Discovered In Towed Vehicle Trunk

A man from Edenton, North Carolina, is facing a murder charge after allegedly killing a woman whose body was discovered in the trunk of a towed vehicle, as reported by Fox News.

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) reported that on January 17, the body of a woman was found in a vehicle belonging to Jordan Isaiah Thomas in Beaufort County. The NCSBI believes the victim to be a 19-year-old student from Elizabeth City State University, although an identification is still pending from the medical examiner’s office.

The NCSBI also stated that the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner. According to investigators, the vehicle had been parked in a private lot on U.S. Highway 264 in Washington, North Carolina. The vehicle was towed to a local facility, where the body was discovered in the trunk by an employee of the towing company.

After conducting an investigation, detectives determined that Thomas had left his vehicle in the private lot before stealing a truck from the same location. The stolen truck was later found at a nearby hospital in Washington, North Carolina, where Thomas was arrested. The NCSBI investigators believe that the victim was killed at a different location than where the vehicle was found. The exact location of the murder is still under investigation.

It has been revealed that Thomas and the victim knew each other. Thomas is now facing charges of murder, larceny of a motor vehicle, and concealing the death of a person. The investigation is still ongoing.

A 26-year-old man named Angrez Singh was arrested for reportedly posing as his girlfriend to take an exam on her behalf, reports the NY Post. This incident gained viral attention after photos of the incident were circulated on the internet.

“He tried to enter the examination hall by changing his appearance,”

To fool the test officials, Singh shaved his facial hair, wore makeup, and dressed in women’s clothing to resemble Kaur.

He even went as far as forging Kaur’s voter card, ID card, and Aadhaar card – a 12-digit unique identity number – to make the scheme foolproof. However, Singh’s was caught by exam officials who noticed that his face did not match Kaur’s photo on the application form.

Sadly, Singh did not pass the exam.

The fraudster was arrested. Police also accused Kaur of working with her boyfriend because he couldn’t have done it without her help, they said. The couple are now facing many charges and the police are investigating how Singh faked the documents.

Man Assaults Drivers and Steals Woman’s Car After ‘Good Samaritans’ Try To Help Him During Iowa Blizzard

A man in Iowa allegedly assaulted two drivers who stopped to assist him during a snowstorm, reports Law & Crime. He carjacked one of them before being apprehended by the Iowa State Police using a PIT maneuver on Friday.

The alleged assailant, Jermaine Leatre Shetworth Ware, 28, is currently held without bond in the Polk County Jail. Charges against him include eluding, second-degree theft, first-degree robbery, interference with official acts, and operating a vehicle under the influence, according to records. Des Moines police stated that the incident occurred when a driver picked up Ware, whom they believed needed help, but he soon attacked the driver and attempted to steal their car.

After failing with the first driver, Ware managed to flag down another driver on I-235 and successfully carjacked them.

“The victim saw the defendant running along the side of the interstate so she let him into her car to help him,”

    stated documents viewed by Law&Crime.

“The victim became nervous of the defendant’s paranoid behavior and attempted to pull over.”

When she managed to stop the vehicle,

“The defendant reached over the victim, opened her door, and slammed his body into her until she fell out of her vehicle and into the travel portion of the interstate,”

authorities wrote. However, the woman still had possession of her key. Ware realized the keys were missing when he tried driving off. He then

“[held] his knee in the victim’s throat, the defendant began biting the victim’s right hand to get her to release the car keys,”

    they wrote.

“The defendant was eventually able to take the keys from the victim and he got into her car and drove away.”

The victim suffered cuts and bite marks on her right hand, along with redness on the left side of her throat. One of the troopers involved in the arrest said they used a PIT maneuver to bring the vehicle to a halt. Ware attempted to flee through the passenger door, but complied when the trooper ordered him to lie on the ground at gunpoint. According to authorities, Ware exhibited signs of marijuana use, appeared intoxicated by drugs, seemed paranoid, and was loud during the journey to the jail.
