Two Georgia Hospital Employees Arrested After Stealing And Throwing Away Ashes Of Stillborn

Two former laundry employees of a suburban Atlanta hospital are now in police custody after allegedly stealing an urn containing the ashes of a stillborn infant and then throwing the ashes away, Action News 5 reported.

In August of last year, Carla Massey gave birth to a stillborn six months into her pregnancy. In order to keep her near for emotional support, the heartbroken parents cremated the infant and placed her ashes within an urn that was put into a teddy bear. While Carla was hospitalized at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, the bear went missing, devastating the couple.

“Losing her plus the ashes was a big heartbreak,” Massey explained in an interview.

The teddy bear was found in a trash can within the hospital’s laundry room the same day, but the urn was not there. After an investigation, the urn was found in the home of two employees, who are also married to each other. Unfortunately, the ashes had been disposed of.

Anilus and Rosnie Frederic were each charged with theft and abandonment of a dead body. Both of the Frederics were released on bail, but are no longer employed by Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. A reason for why the couple decided to steal and discard the infant’s ashes has yet to be revealed, but the victims are relieved to learn of their arrest.

“I pray for them, and hope they get better mentally and physically, but I just don’t understand why they would do something like this,” Massey said.

Rick Ross’ Neighbor Calls Police After Rapper’s Pet Buffaloes Wander Onto Her Property

Last year, Rick Ross was gifted a pair of buffalo by the clothing company Ethika when he expanded his ranch, The Promise Land. After being turned away, she called police, who told her it was a civil dispute and refused to take a report. She says her next step is to filing a neighbor dispute with the city.

On Sunday afternoon, after seeing many headlines mentioning his escaped animals, Ross released a statement on his Instagram, claiming that his buffalo were harmless. “They are just grazers, they are not meat eaters,” Ross said in one story. He says that the animals were able to leave the property due to work he was having done on the property, and explained that members of his team had rounded up them up.

“So when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot, give it an apple,” Ross instructed. “They so kind. They so peaceful. . . Thanks everyone for making sure my animals got back into the Promise Land.”

Three Georgia Teens Charged After 15-Year-Old Found Fatally Shot In Bed

On February 21st, a Peachtree, Georgia woman was getting ready for work when she noticed the light in her daughter’s room was on earlier than usual. When she made her way into the bedroom, despite it being locked, she noticed that a window was open and that the blinds were “a mess.” According to the New York Post, she then discovered her 15-year-old, Madison Gesswein, in her bed “bleeding from her head.”

While on the phone with dispatch, the panicked mother begins to perform CPR, telling them that “there’s a lot of blood” and that she “can’t get any response from her.” First responders arrive to the apartment complex less than five minutes later, and sadly pronounced Madison dead at the scene.

“A final cause of death is pending determination by the medical examiner, but an injury to Madison’s head appears consistent with a gunshot wound,” police said.

The following day, authorities arrested three 18-year-olds in connection to the murder. All three were described as “acquaintances of the victim.” Justus Smith, Jacobean Brown, and Yeshua Mathis, all from Fayetteville, were each charged with murder. A potential motive for the crime has not been revealed.

“This was not a random act,” explained Assistant Police Chief Matt Myers. “They knew whose apartment they were at, and it was in some way related to matters between these individuals.”
