Public school in kids in New York City are creating inappropriate Diddy-themed jokes, which have parents concerned, the New York Post exclusively reported. Reports say parents are petitioning to ban the music mogul’s name in schools as a whole.

Vanessa Mejia was shocked when her 8-year-old daughter who is a third-grader at PS 11 in Chelsea, told her that a classmate shouted,

    “Welcome to my Diddy party!”

    during class this week.

The 40-year-old mother informed The Post,

“I was just extremely shocked by it, because these kids are so young.”

“And then my second thought was, who knows how much information this boy had on the whole [Diddy] situation? Because if he is well-informed, did he really mean to say that? Or was it that he didn’t know what it meant?”
    she continued.

Mejia mentioned her daughter knows the name Diddy but not the specifics about Sean Combs’ alleged crimes. If you’re unaware, 55-year-old Combs faces serious charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking.

“It’s not kid-friendly information.… So if that little boy knows more information about [Diddy] than he should, who knows what is going to be told to all the other kids?,”

    she said.

The woman suggested that banning kids from saying Combs’ name in schools

    “would be a good idea”

to protect them from inappropriate topics related to his alleged actions.

Mejia shared her worries in an email to her daughter’s teacher and got a call from the assistant principal the following day. She appreciated the principal’s serious response, and other parents supported action regarding the

    “D-word.”

Mejia’s recent Facebook post got over a dozen comments about the troubling trend, showing that many people are worried about it.
