Stepson Fatally Shot Stepfather For ‘Brake Checking’ Him In Deadly Road Rage Incident, Police Say

A 20-year-old man from Arizona has been arrested for the fatal shooting of his 32-year-old stepfather, per Law & Crime. The incident occurred during a road rage altercation that was sparked by the stepfather

    “brake checking”

the younger man. Jorge Adrian Ramirez was taken into custody and now faces charges of second-degree murder and unlawfully discharging a firearm.

The Phoenix Police Department responded to the shooting incident on February 3, following reports of gunfire near West Hadley Street. Emergency responders found the stepfather, Jose Angel Ruiz Leyva, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Leyva did not survive his injuries.

Surveillance footage from the area showed a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident leaving the scene. The driver of that vehicle was identified as Ramirez, who was later located and arrested without incident.

During a post-arrest interview, Ramirez confessed to the murder. He revealed that he had been arguing with his stepfather before the attack.

As the argument escalated, Ramirez claimed he removed himself however, Leyva followed him outside and repeatedly brake-checked him while driving. Ramirez confronted Leyva at an intersection, firing seven shots into his vehicle before fleeing the scene in his own car. Ramirez stated that he used his mother’s gun, not his own, to carry out the shooting.

He also alleged that his motivation for killing Leyva stemmed from his stepfather’s physical abuse towards his mother, a claim that his mother confirmed to the police. Ramirez is currently being held on a $1 million bond. He is to appear in court on February 12th.

  • Travis Kelce Denies Rumors That He Popularized The Fade Haircut, Calling It ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’

Travis Kelce Denies Rumors That He Popularized The Fade Haircut, Calling It ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has firmly denied the recent rumors that he invented the already well-known

    “fade”

haircut. Last week, The New York Times published a report with the headline,

“They’ll Take The Tavis Kelce – Hairdo That Is,”

suggesting that Kelce is responsible for the surge in popularity of the hairstyle.

According to the article, barbers have been seeing a significant rise in requests for the cut, which has allegedly been dubbed the

    “Travis Kelce haircut.”

However, these claims have faced widespread criticism, with many calling out White media for giving Kelce for the fade’s

    “newfound fame.”

Rapper-turned-sports/cultural analyst, Cam’ron went on his podcast,

    “It Is What It Is”

    with co-host, Mase and said,

“S–t done got out of hand… It’s a fade bro, a white n—a with a fade, n—as steal everything from us. Can we have anything?”

Chad Ochocinco and Shannon Sharpe also added their two cents to the conversation on the

    “Club Shay Shay”

    podcast. Sharpe said,

“Ocho, I’ve been getting a fade since 86.”

    Chad Johnson chimed in saying,

“Wait, he don’t have a fade, he got a buzz cut. Like when you go to the Army bro, how bro.”

Well, Travis put a stop to the rumors during the Super Bowl LVIII Opening Night press conference where he addressed the report and said,

“It’s absolutely ridiculous and to do it on February 1st to throw me into the wolves like that, that was messed up, man. I don’t want anything to do with that one, man.”

    Travis jokingly added,

“I got a good fade if you need it though, it’s two on top, a nice high to mid-fade with a taper in the back… But I didn’t invent that, I just asked for it.”

Shocking Restraining Order Plea Alleges Singer Macy Gray’s Son Of Abusing Her and Their Family

Macy Gray‘s daughter, Aanisah Hinds, has sought legal protection against her brother, Tracy Melvin Hinds, accusing him of recurring abusive behavior while under the influence of alcohol.

According to the court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the most recent incident occurred on February 3rd. Aanisah alleges that Tracy threatened her fiancé, Cornel Pearson, and warned that

    “his goons would get”

Pearson, following a disagreement involving Macy Gray (whose real name is Natalie Renée McIntyre).

“Tracy got into a physical altercation with my mom, he followed her and harassed her as he always does when he drinks. My boyfriend [Cornel] tried to remove my mom but he continued to follow them until he fought my boyfriend,”

the docs stated. According to Aanisah, cops were called while Tracy continued to bang on the door even pushing their mother during the ordeal.

“After he was out of the house, we locked the doors, but he came back through a window and began harassing [us] again. Later, he pushed me, and he has done so many times,”

Aanisah Hinds claimed. According to court documents, she was advised by the police to file a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and request to move out. Anisah highlighted two other instances where she claimed her brother was violent towards the family. One occurred in May 2022, and the other in late Oct. 2023 when their mother was on tour.

Aanisah is requesting protection for herself, Pearson, and Gray, explaining that he

“constantly abuses and fights with all of us”

    and

“no one has a problem except him.”

Aanisah noted that she and Pearson are expecting a child who will be born later this year.

A 38-year-old heir to a major sugar-producing company was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman at a popular steakhouse in Florida, Law & Crime reported. The incident reportedly occurred because the man became enraged after being seated next to a gay couple.

Alexander N. Fanjul, a member of the Fanjul family who owns and operates Florida Crystals, Domino Sugar, and American Sugar Refining, was taken into custody on Monday and now faces a range of charges, including domestic battery by strangulation, robbery, and false imprisonment of an adult.

Palm Beach police responded to a noise complaint at a residence on El Dorado Lane, where a caller reported hearing a woman screaming. First responders said upon arrival they

“observed a male subject, later identified as Alexander N. Fanjul, standing over a female subject”

    who was

“on the floor in a defensive ‘fetal’ position and observed to be bleeding from the facial area.”

The victim told police she had been in a relationship with Fanjul for a year and a half, and that Fanjul had assaulted her and she feared for her life.

“While at dinner, Fanjul initially became irate because the two were seated next to a homosexual couple…”

the victim said, according to the affidavit.

“When the two arrived at Fanjul’s residence, Fanjul became increasingly irate and continued to speak about his frustration with the restaurant.”

The woman reportedly told Fanjul to

“drop the subject and that is when Fanjul began to punch [her] in the face with a closed fist causing bruising, bleeding, and swelling to her facial area,”

    police wrote.

Police said they saw visible marks around the victim’s neck and a trail of blood inside the home. Fanjul also faces a count of criminal mischief, cocaine possession, and intimidating or threatening a witness. He has since been released on a $180,000 bond and is to have no contact with the victim.

  • Utah Lawmaker Introduces Bill That Mandates Parents To Potty Train Their Children Before Enrolling Them In Kindergarten

Utah Lawmaker Introduces Bill That Mandates Parents To Potty Train Their Children Before Enrolling Them In Kindergarten

Parents in Utah may soon be required by law to ensure that their children are potty trained before sending them to kindergarten. A new bill introduced by state Rep. Douglas Welton in Utah aims to prohibit parents from enrolling their children in kindergarten if they haven’t completed potty training, per the NY Post.

“You’re asking teachers who already seem to be distrusted a little bit by certain segments of the population and you’re asking them to go and help facilitate a child use the restroom. That’s a big risk that a lot of them don’t want to take and shouldn’t have to take,”

the Republican lawmaker stated. The bill itself would mandate the State Board of Education to create a new rule

“regarding toilet training as a condition for kindergarten enrollment.”

Students who are not potty trained would be temporarily removed from class and referred to a school social worker or counselor for assistance. They would only be allowed to return to the classroom once they have successfully learned to use the bathroom independently. However, there are exceptions in the legislation for students who have a condition documented in their Individualized Education Program that hinders their ability to be

    “toilet trained.”

State Rep. Douglas Welton argues that this measure is crucial for the safety of both the children and their teachers. Walton expressed that the need for this law has become more pressing due to the increase in the number of students attending full-day kindergarten following the expansion of classroom access through another bill.

“Across the state of Utah. We’ve got roughly four times the number of kids who are coming to kindergarten that aren’t potty trained,”

    Welton said.

On Wednesday, the House Education Committee gave a favorable recommendation to the bill. If it gets the green light, it will go into effect for the 2024-2025 school year.
