Man Arrested and Charged After Murdering Girlfriend Because She Got An Abortion He Disapproved Of, Officials Say

A man from Texas reportedly murdered his girlfriend on Wednesday after he learned that she went to a state where abortions are legal to get an abortion, officials say, according to the New York Post. 22-year-old Harold Thompson has been charged with murder in connection to the death of Gabriella Gonzalez, 26, Dallas authorities say. Officials added that the woman was murdered in a strip mall parking lot.

The woman returned the night prior from a trip to Colorado, where abortions are legal in all phases of pregnancy, says an arrest warrant. Reports added that abortions are illegal in Texas after six weeks of pregnancy except for emergency circumstances. According to the affidavit,

“It is believed that the suspect was the father of the child… The suspect did not want (Gonzalez) to get an abortion.”

The parking lot’s surveillance footage reveals the couple engaging in a verbal disagreement around 7:30 p.m. before the 22-year-old grabbed Gonzalez and began to choke her. The woman managed to

    “shrug him off,”

and they then began to walk together. Shortly after, Thompson reportedly pulled out a firearm and struck the woman in her head. He continued firing the gun at her several times and then fled. Gonzalez was declared deceased at the scene.

During the time of the shooting, the man was previously charged with assaulting a

    “female family member”

after choking the woman back in March. Although the affidavit failed to name the victim, reports say the victim was most likely Gonzalez, according to The Post.

The victim informed officials that he

“beat her up multiple times throughout the entirety of their relationship,”

documents say. Thompson allegedly notified officials that the woman was pregnant with his baby at the time. According to an affidavit, the victim revealed that

“she is scared of the suspect because he had made threats to harm her family and her children.”

  • Parents Outraged After First Graders Allegedly Forced 6-Year-Old Girl To Perform Sex Act During Class and Then Recorded It On School’s Ipad

Parents Outraged After First Graders Allegedly Forced 6-Year-Old Girl To Perform Sex Act During Class and Then Recorded It On School’s Ipad

Parents are outraged and want answers from Texas district school officials after students in first grade reportedly forced their classmate, 6, to execute a sex act as they filmed while the teacher was in the classroom, according to FOX. The incident occurred at the Plainview South Elementary School where parents and members of the community assembled to protest. On Monday, at least 30 people throughout the day showed up outside of the administrative office of the Plainview Independent School District.

Protesting parents learned about the April 19 incident after the school district informed the parent of the girl involved. Following the school’s call, the first-grader revealed that she was pressured by other students to do the sex act. After the incident there was a change in the girl’s behavior, the student’s cousin, Heather Gonzales, told KCBD.

The young girl later confessed that a boy inappropriately revealed himself to her, which reportedly occurred at the school lunch line. She also admitted that she was pulled under a desk and pushed to perform a sex act while another student filmed it with an iPad given to them by the school. The girl revealed that the act didn’t stop

    “until they let [her] go.”

The unidentified girl’s older cousin said the school hasn’t given her direct answers concerning the situation and the students have been transferred to different classrooms. H.T. Sanchez, Plainview ISD Superintendent, told the news outlet that the school reported the incident and alerted the Texas Child Protective Services after the video was discovered. He added that a state investigator went to Plainview and is

“working with a local law enforcement agency,”

    reports say.

When the teacher retrieved all of the student’s Ipads, one Ipad was locked. After it was unlocked by campus administrators, they discovered inappropriate content on it. School officials say that the teacher was assisting another student during the duration of the act; however, she was still placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues.

Prankster Let Off Fart Spray Shutting Down School Campus for Days and Sending Students to Hospital

A high school prankster let off an extremely strong

    “fart spray”

onto his Texas school campus that sent six students to the hospital, NY Post reported.

The unnamed teen confessed to pulling the foul prank after seeing that his joke was no laughing matter. Fire officials were called to Caney Creek High School after receiving reports of “a smell of gas” lingering in the building.

Fire officials and hazardous response teams spent three days trying to locate the smell to no avail. Students and faculty started to pick up on the fuming scent Wednesday, prompting an immediate evacuation of all students. That day, six students were taken to the hospital due to complaints of severe headaches from the smell, Caney Creek Fire Chief Raymond Flannelly told KHOU-11. Eight others reported feeling ill, reports reveal.

Although fire officials confirmed that there were no gas leaks and the air quality in the building was safe, the school decided to still shut down classes for the remainder of the week, according to the Post. On Friday the culprit came forward and admitted to releasing the fart spray, advertised as a gag toy that

“creates a smell like real poo and fake vomit.”

“A student confessed to bringing a highly concentrated, prank, stink spray called Hensgaukt Fart Spray,”

the Caney Creek Fire & Rescue squad announced. Caney Creek High School Principal Jeff Stichler wrote a letter to parents promising to

“address it to the fullest extent of the Student Code of Conduct and the laws of the State of Texas,”

    according to PEOPLE.

  • Texas Shooter Accused of Killing 5 Neighbors Allegedly Broke His Wife’s Nose in the Past, Records Show

Texas Shooter Accused of Killing 5 Neighbors Allegedly Broke His Wife’s Nose in the Past, Records Show

The man accused of shooting 5 neighbors, including a child, in

    “execution style”

murder in Texas reportedly beat his wife in the past, who’s since been charged with helping hide the suspected shooter, per the NY Post.

Francisco Oropesa, 38, spent four days hiding out from police following the fatal shooting of 5 neighbors who reportedly asked him to stop shooting his rifle late Friday night because a baby was sleeping. Oropesa was later discovered by authorities, after a days-long search, under a pile of laundry. His wife, Divimara Lamar Nava, 53, was also arrested in connection with the shooting. Police say, Nava

“provided material aid and encouragement, food, clothes, and arranged transport,”

for the suspect while also cooperating with officers.

Now new court documents reveal that Nava was allegedly brutally beaten by Oropesa on June 14, 2022. According to the court document obtained by the outlet, Nava contacted authorities alleging that her husband had viciously attacked her during a drunken episode. She was left with a broken nose and rib, a black eye, a skull fracture, and bruises on her body, according to the records.

Nava refused to press charges against Oropesa but a protective order was later filed against him. She told deputies that the abuse happened once before about 11 years ago, San Jacinto County District Attorney Todd Dillon told the outlet. Oropesa was ordered to

“stay away from Nava and her child, to vacate the residence they shared, and to be barred from possessing a firearm or ammunition,”

    reports reveal.

Records show that the county attempted to serve Oropesa five times but was unsuccessful due to authorities not being able to locate him, Dillion said. It is unclear if Nava ever called officials about her husband violating the protective order. Oropesa was also reportedly deported four times since 2009. He was caught on Tuesday and is being held in San Jacinto County Jail. His bond is set at $7.5 million, reports note.

Babysitter Accused Of Sexually Abusing 13-Year-Old Boy, Tells Him To ‘Take It Like A Man’

Officials are seeking a Texas baby-sitter who has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy while her son slept close by, reports the New York Post. The incident occurred back in July 2021. The 41-year-old suspect, Charlene Kornegay, was recently charged with aggravated sexual assault of a minor. Reports say that Kornegay told the boy to take the abuse

    “like a man”

while also threatening to chop off his penis.

An affidavit attained by ABC13 says that the young boy was interviewed back in March 2022 by a therapist about the incident. He recalled that Kornegay was caring for him on July 11, 2021, when she instructed him to put on a dress, bra, and stilettoes once he exited the shower in her condominium. The unidentified boy went on to say that the woman then stripped him and began having sex with him in her son’s room as her son was asleep.

The woman put lotion on his private areas and performed oral sex on him, says court documents. The boy added that when he requested for her to stop, she told him,

“Shut up and take it like a man.” He then requested for her to stop again, which she continued and sexually assaulted him in the bathtub. Kornegay also held a knife to the minor’s private area and said she would cut it off if he informed anyone of what she did.

The boy eventually told his father about what occurred. The boy’s dad later informed officials admitting that he

    “couldn’t believe it.”

The father said he was aware that the woman had a son and she told him that she wanted his son

“stay over and play video games.”

    According to The Post,

“At the time of the depraved incident, the sitter was serving a deferred sentence for possession of methamphetamine.”

  • Texas Couple Arrested For Tying Down Their Children With Rope And Forcibly Tattooing Them

Texas Couple Arrested For Tying Down Their Children With Rope And Forcibly Tattooing Them

A mother and stepfather in Angelina County, Texas are now facing multiple charges after tattooing their children, Action News 5 reported.

The couple, 27-year-old Megan Mae Farr and 23-year-old Gunner Farr, tied the two children down with rope, covered their mouths with tape, and covered their eyes with a rag. One child was left with a tattoo on their foot, and the other with a tattoo on their shoulder.

After the children’s biological father noticed the tattoos, he confronted Farr. He claims that she laughed about it, and then drove away. He contacted authorities shortly after. Investigators say Farr and Farris then tried to conceal the tattoos by cutting, scraping, and scrubbing the tattooed areas, followed by rubbing them with lemon juice. Despite their efforts, their attempts only hurt the 5-year-old and 9-year-old further.

“This happened around the time CPS became involved,” Police Chief Lieutenant James Denby explained. “Someone came forward and turned in a tattoo kit that she claimed was loaned to Gunner to perform tattoos. She didn’t know it was going to be performed on a child.”

Megan Mae Farr has been charged with two counts of injury to a child and unlawful restraint, while Gunner Farr is charged with one count of unlawful restraint and one count of injury to a child. The couple each have a bond totaling $35,000. The victims, along with two other children, were taken into CPS custody.
