Tyler Perry’s chit-chat with Kelly Ripa on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast rested on his relationship with the ex-senior royals. The “Acrimony” producer confessed that he extended a hand of friendship to Meghan Markle after reading the atmosphere surrounding her exit from the British royal family.
He believed the American actress turned English royal was not in a good place. Fortunately, the Duchess of Sussex recognized the shoe of empathy and looked to him for guidance.
Months after receiving a note from Perry proclaiming his interest in a friendship, she called and poured out a grieving heart. In the end, they had a “great conversation.”
Tyler Perry’s Concern For Famous Names Is Genuine
While lounging next to Kelly Ripa during the podcast, Tyler Perry voiced his concern for entertainment business people. Having spent decades building his film brand and studio, Perry can be recognized as an authority when speaking about the issues people in the media’s eagle eyes face.
As per Page Six, he explained:
“It is very important for people in this business to have a safe place to land, to have a place where they can trust and talk freely and get advice that’s not going to be biased or from somebody who wants something from them.”
Truly, his keen interest in them manifested once he tapped into their problem. Eventually, the couple holed up in his house in Beverly Hills. It was their haven; not even the paparazzi knew about their whereabouts.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry felt comfortable making Tyler Perry their daughter’s godfather. They eventually moved to their home in Montecito, California. In that home, they welcomed baby Lilibet, their second child and only daughter.
Perry has already developed a bond with the kids, who he calls beautiful, proving how much he knows the family.
