1. Ice Cube – “Friday After Next” (2002) –

3. Regina King – “This Christmas” (2007) –

King plays Lisa Whitfield in this family drama centered around the holiday season, where the six Whitfield siblings return to their mother’s house to celebrate Christmas after being away for four years. As they gather for dinner on Christmas Eve, Lisa’s cheating husband prompts her to suggest her siblings give up their share of the family business. Problems arise as personal issues gradually unfold.

4. Danny Glover – “Almost Christmas” (2016) –

Danny Glover stars as Walter Meyers in this comedy-drama. Although he is a retired automotive engineer, particularly he lost his wife ten months earlier. As the holiday season sets in, he invites his four albeit dysfunctional children, along with other family members, with hopes that they can all set aside their problems for a nice traditional Christmas holiday. Upon their arrival, Walter begins to realize that it is indeed impossible to have a perfect Christmas without his beloved wife.

5. Morris Chestnut – “The Best Man Holiday” (2013)

This romantic comedy-drama features Chestnut in a leading role as Lance Sullivan and revolves around a reunion of college friends. Undoubtedly long-forgotten romances and disagreements will rekindled as the friends reunite after fifteen long years apart. Nevertheless Lance’s wife (Monica Calhoun) invites the college friends for Christmas and consequently, simultaneously old tensions resurfaces.
