A Texas woman was arrested for allegedly firing gunshots in a rehabilitation center Friday morning while searching for her ex-boyfriend, police said per Fox News

Royse City Police arrested Sarah M. Carter, 55. According to Royse City Medical Lodge employees, which is a nursing home and rehabilitation center, said Carter entered the building with a gun just before 9:20 a.m., Friday. Carter was reportedly looking for her ex, who is a patient at the facility, while also yelling out profanities, Royse City Police Chief Kirk Aldridge told the outlet

Carter allegedly approached four employees and then went in the direction of the building where her ex used to stay, FOX 4 Dallas reported. The man had been recently moved to a new area, resulting in Carter’s agitation because she could not locate him.

“While searching for the suspect, a patient directed officers to a room at the end of the hall where the suspect was at,”

the Royse City Police Department said in a statement.

“Officers attempted to open the door, but it was blocked with furniture.”

Carter reportedly barricaded herself in a room with two patients.

Police managed to get the door open and apprehend the suspect. They recovered an SKS semi-automatic rifle in the room. No one was injured in the shooting, police reported.

“At the conclusion to the incident, it was discovered there were no injuries to anyone at the facility,”

the police chief told the outlet.

Carter was charged with

“five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon”

and is being held at the Rockwall County Jail. Carter was previously arrested for criminal trespassing at the same facility in March, according to authorities.
