Sadly, a woman from Colorado fell to her death from the top of a New York City hotel following an alleged fight that occurred between her and her boyfriend. According to Fox, the tragic incident occurred on Tuesday. The 20-year-old woman remains unidentified and witnesses claimed they heard shouting coming from the pair’s hotel room at the OYO Times Square hotel, reports the New York Post. Reports added that the 24-year-old boyfriend, Tyler Griffen, bruised the woman and also put their 8-month-old child in harm’s way.
The fight allegedly leaked from their room into the hotel’s hallway and stairwell. Spectators say the man grasped and yanked the child’s arm causing the baby to fall to the 9th floor, where luckily, a hotel guest caught the child. The baby was determined to be unharmed after being inspected by a medical expert.
After the child fell, the unnamed woman allegedly went to the roof of the hotel and jumped. Reports added that she was declared deceased at the scene.
Although officials say they don’t believe Griffen pushed the woman, he is awaiting arraignment on multiple charges including assault. At one point, he was transported to a hospital and determined to be an
“emotionally disturbed person.”
