An Australian woman is blasting her American ex-husband who she says left her after obtaining an Australian partner visa, NY Post reported.

Isabelle Glastonbury, 31, said she had met her then-husband in Dallas, Texas in 2015 and the two got engaged just one year later. Glastonbury claims her fiance at the time relocated to Australia so they could start their life together. The couple exchanged vows in Palm Beach to a $50,000 wedding that Glastonbury said her family paid for.

However, according to Glastonbury, their honeymoon was short-lived after her ex vanished in January 2021 after attaining his visa. Glastonbury’s parents reportedly paid $10,000 for the visa, she told the outlet.

“I got home and literally 90% of his stuff had disappeared,”

Glastonbury told Daily Mail Australia.

“I had this sinking feeling.”

Glastonbury said her calls and messages stopped going through, her credit cards were drained, and her number was blocked. She recalled attempting to log onto his immigration accounts, but she was locked out.

“He ghosted everyone — all of our mutual friends, the best man from our wedding, and his own family, no-one knew where he was,”

she said.

After reflecting on the incident, Glastonbury said she now realizes there were signs leading up to him leaving.

“Don’t be blind, because I’m sure I could have seen the signs before this happened and I just ignored it, you never really know who you’re sleeping next to,”

she advised.
