Not even our friendly Neighborhood Spiderman survived Zendaya’s Instagram cleansing. The 27-year-old decided to begin the new year by following no accounts. Zendaya’s unfollow menu was served to friends, family, and associates, including Tom Holland, her boyfriend.

Even though the actress has left everyone speechless with this step, she is yet to make a statement. Funnily, the statement-worthy move comes in time for her new movie.

ET Online confirmed that before unfollowing Tom, Zendaya wished her Instagram fans a happy new year. At the same time, she shared her upcoming film Challengers. The snap highlighted the film’s poster, which is a tennis-based movie.

Zendaya could be spotted hiding her eyes behind purple sunglasses with mirror frames. Photos of her co-stars Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist reflected on the glasses.

Challengers is not the only new film with Zendaya on it. Fans will see the model in Dune Part 2. She will appear side by side with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, and Timothée Chalamet. The movie will hit the cinemas in March, while Challengers will follow in April.

Fans may not have to worry about Zendaya and Tom’s romance despite the unfollowing on Instagram. In October, the couple jetted to West London for an intimate time. The paparazzi saw them having a romantic walk during their time there.

In the image, a conspicuous ring sat on her finger. However, she later dismissed the news, adding, “Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the deuce? Like, what?!”
