A Biblical Epic Film “The Book Of Clarence” Sets a Timeless Hollywood Era with Black Excellence

This film captivates Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) in his quest to finding his path, as he is intrigued by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and his apostles. He risks his life just to carve his own divine path.

Will be available in theaters on January 12, 2024.

The film stars LaKeith Stanfield, Teyana Taylor, Alfre Woodard, RJ Cyler, Omar SY. Director Jeymes Samuel. The film is a creatively new, timeless piece with a biblical Hollywood epic era. A streetwise hustler who goes all out to prove to himself and the world that he is not a nobody.

The film also stars Anna Diop, David Oyelowo, Michael Ward, Caleb McLaughlin, Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Marianne Jean-Baptiste

The Hollywood-era biblical epic film was produced by Jeymes Samuel, Shawn Carter (Jay-Z), James Lassiter.

“The Book of Clarence is a film that I wanted to make for many years. While I was working on The Harder They Fall and all my other projects, the story and the music for The Book of Clarence were always there percolating in my mind,”

Says the director Jeymes Samuel.

“There was never a question as to whether I would compose the score and write and perform on the soundtrack, as well as write and direct the movie – it was all one amazing journey where one depended on the other. But I also worked with the most awesome artists on our track ‘Hallelujah Heaven.’ Collaborating with Lil’ Wayne, Buju Banton, and Shabba Ranks was so dope, I loved getting them all on the same track,”

He further stated.

The film sets its tone with an enrapturing taste of a soundtrack scored by musical geniuses that includes an official soundtrack feature by Jeymes Samuel, JAY-Z, Lil Wayne, and Kid Cudi.

By Jeymes Samuel featuring Lil Wayne, Buju Banton & Shabba Ranks will be the first track to be revealed from the film.
