    Tom Holland Reveals Big Announcement In The Works

    On the 5th of February, 2023, the Spider-Man actor took to his social media page and posted a video of him playing golf with the caption “Big Announcement Tomorrow!”.

    After 24 hours of speculations from fans, it was revealed that the actor is set to star in a new stage adaptation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ directed by Jamie Lloyd in London’s West End.

    According to IGN, Tom Holland announced the news on social media, sharing a link to the official website for the Romeo and Juliet stage show, where he is credited with playing Romeo Montague in a “pulsating new vision of Shakespeare’s immortal tale of wordsmiths, rhymers, lovers and fighters” from visionary theatre director Jamie Lloyd.

    The new production of Romeo and Juliet will relish a limited 12-week run at the Duke of York Theatre in central London from May 11.
    Tickets will be available from Feb. 13. There has been no announcement on who will play Romeo’s star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet, neither does any information exist about the show’s supporting cast members.

    Adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon show. During a panel at MegaCon, Hartman expressed his enthusiasm for Holland to portray the teenage ghost, Danny Fenton.

    According to IGN, Hartman reiterated his choice, saying,

    “It’s got to be Tom Holland, all the way.”

    Butch Hartman created Danny Phantom, which originally aired in April 2004. The animated series had three seasons and a total of 53 episodes on Nickelodeon, concluding on August 24, 2007. The show follows the story of Danny Fenton, a teenage boy who becomes a human-ghost hybrid after an accident with his parents’ Ghost Portal. With the support of his best friends, Sam and Tucker, Danny protects his family and town from villainous ghosts while learning to control his supernatural abilities.

    Since the series ended in 2007, fans have been campaigning for a revival of Danny Phantom. They have expressed their desire for a fourth season, an animated movie, or a sequel series. Recently, insider Daniel Richtman reported on Reddit that Paramount Pictures is in the early stages of developing a live-action theatrical Danny Phantom film.

    However, it’s worth noting that Tom Holland might already have commitments that could hinder his participation in a live-action Danny Phantom movie. He recently announced his return to London’s West End for a performance in the Shakespeare classic Romeo and Juliet.

    The production of this film marks Robbie’s first significant project following the huge success of

    “Barbie,”

    which dominated the box office and also received awards. Meanwhile, Farrell and Kogonada are teaming up again for this project. They previously worked together on

    “After Yang”

    in 2021 with Jodie Turner-Smith.

    According to Deadline, Kogonada will be directing the movie based on a script written by Seth Reiss, who is known for writing

    ‘The Menu.’

    Ilene Feldman and Ori Eisen from Original Films will be the executive producers alongside Kogonada, and Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas, and Ryan Friedkin from Imperative Entertainment will produce, along with Seth Reiss and Youree Henley.

    According to the film’s summary,

    “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey”

    is portrayed as a creative story about two strangers and the incredible journey that connects them. The movie will be filmed in California this spring. It is also being financed by 30West.

    On the Monday episode of the Happy Sad Confused Podcast, the

    ‘Man of Steel’

    actor, Henry Cavill made an appearance where he discussed with director Matthew Vaughn and admitted he’s not a fan of sex scenes in movies.

    “I don’t understand them, I’m not a fan,”

    he said.

    “I think there are circumstances where a sex scene actually is beneficial to a movie, rather than just for the audience, but I think sometimes they’re overused these days.”

    “Is this really necessary or is it just people with less clothing on? And that’s when you start to get more uncomfortable and you’re thinking, ‘There’s not a performance here, there’s not a piece which is going to carry through to the rest of the movie’.”

    The

    ‘Witcher’

    actor went on to note that

    “sex scenes can be great in a movie”

    and that

    “They can really help with the storytelling,”

    he continued.

    “But most of the time, human imagination is going to trump.”

    Vaughn also shared a similar perspective when it comes to filming intimate scenes.


    “The thing I really don’t understand and you’ve noticed I don’t really direct them because I can’t get my head around them is sex scenes,”

    he said.

    “It’s just something I don’t understand.”

    Details of the plot are being kept under wraps, but it has been described as an original film genre. The pair have a rich and storied history together, with critically acclaimed movies and commercial blockbusters. Production has been penciled in to start in April. More concrete details will likely be made available as production approaches.

    This will be Coogler’s first time behind the camera since 2022’s

    “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

    Both Coogler and Jordan are on a hot streak after Black Panther, Creed, and other successful projects together, making this one highly anticipated.

    News of the project had been swirling around Tinseltown for months when it was reported that the duo was teaming up for a project that was described as a period piece based loosely around the 19th and 20th Century American South. Details are sparse; however, it is reported that the movie has the potential to spawn a new franchise in terms of story detailing, and it will include vampires and anime features, offering clues as to what the movie could be like.

    The duo constantly receives positive reviews for their projects whenever they collaborate. This particular project was one of several hot packages that hit Hollywood, and it had movie executives excited for several weeks until it became clear where it was landing, how soon production could begin, and how eagerly audiences would await its premiere and viewing. As anticipation levels grew, we all can’t wait to see the finished product.

    According to Essence, in preparation for their 17th Annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards, they have announced the spotlight will shine on Academy Award-nominated actress and Grammy Award winner Danielle Brooks, six-time Grammy-nominated singer Halle Bailey, industry powerhouse Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming for STARZ, and acclaimed screenwriter and showrunner of the All American series Nkechi Okoro Carroll.

    This year’s event themed

    “Radiant Power”,

    aims to highlight the strength, elegance, and influence of Black women navigating the entertainment business. This focus is especially significant considering the challenges posed by the historic writers’ and actors’ strike of 2023.

    In a statement, Caroline Wanga, President and CEO of Essence Ventures, expressed the magazine’s commitment to celebrating Black women within the industry.

    “The intersection of joy and justice is where community thrives. We don’t ever need to diminish our collective power and accomplishments; due to the work we are still doing to exist equitably. The past year tested this intersection within one of our most sacred cultural realms when the entertainment industry faced the gridlock of stakeholder value and WORTH. Livelihoods and legacies were at risk as the fight for economic inclusion mandated resolution,”

    Marvel Crew Member Dies On Set

    A crew member working on Marvel’s Wonder Man TV series is reported to have died after falling off the rafters onto a stage on the 6th of February.

    According to Deadline, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, the deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Juan Carlos, who lived in Temple City. The incident took place at the Radford Studio Center in Studio City Los Angeles.

    The Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration (OSHA) has launched an investigation into the incident. Also, the filming for Wonder Man was not ongoing at the time, and as a result, production was stopped after the accident.

    A Marvel spokesperson confirmed the news and also made a statement saying “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident.”

    “Everyone in the family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues,” said President Matthew D. Loeb. A GoFundMe account has been organized to raise money for Osorio’s family.

    The Guardians Of The Galaxy Actor Dave Bautista will be featured in a Futuristic Action-Adventure film, “Afterburn” alongside Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson.

    The movie is an adaptation of the graphic novel created by Scott Chitwood and Paul Ens, the joint founders of Red 5 with artwork by Wayne Nicholas. Furthermore, the movie is helmed by Director J.J. Perry and produced by Neal H. Moritz from the Fast and Furious franchise in addition to Toby Jaffe from Total Recall for Original Film, while Steve Richards from the Sherlock Holmes franchise and The Matrix trilogy is producing for Endurance Media, who is also providing the financing.

    According to Deadline, the movie’s plot takes place ten years following a global technological outage caused by a solar flare. Bautista’s character, Jake, is an ex-soldier who now works as a treasure hunter, recovering valuable artifacts from the pre-flare world for important clients. In this story, he is tasked with teaming up with freedom fighter Drea (Samuel L. Jackson) to retrieve the Mona Lisa before a dangerous warlord reaches it first.

    Filming for the movie is set to commence in Europe in April, and the casting process for additional roles is currently ongoing. Bautista will also be involved in the production through his company, Dogbone Entertainment.
