  • Mother ‘Absolutely Livid’ After Man Who Placed Daughter’s Body In Dumpster Is Released On Parole

Mother ‘Absolutely Livid’ After Man Who Placed Daughter’s Body In Dumpster Is Released On Parole

A man who confessed to putting a teen’s body in a trash bin has been released from custody. According to Fox, 24-year-old Jaylin Brazier’s confession led to a huge, yet, failed search for the teen in a suburban landfill in Detroit

The mother of the teen, Zion Foster, who was merely 17 at the time expressed her concerned saying,

    “I’m livid. I’m absolutely livid.”

Previously, Brazier was sentenced to 23 months in prison back in 2022 after lying to officials amid the investigation. Authorities believe that the teen was a victim of homicide; however, no one has been apprehended or charged Zion’s death. Brazier was discharged on parole this week as his final stop in prison was the 90-day program, which

“focuses on changing negative behavior into socially acceptable behavior,”

says the website for the Department of Corrections.

Chris Gautz, a spokesperson told The Detroit News,

“The judge has to sign off for the prisoner to take part in it. The state law governing the program says that successful completion results in an automatic parole.”

Cierra Milton, the mother of the teen, revealed that she wasn’t notified of any changes to Brazier’s sentence. Milton said,

“He didn’t even get the 23 months.”

Back in March 2022, when Brazier was sentenced, he informed the judge that the teen became unconscious while smoking marijuana and he didn’t notify emergency responders. He said,

“I don’t know what caused it. I did not cause it.”

Officials later learned that Zion’s body was placed in a dumpster, which landed on a huge landfill. Officials searched the landfill for five months; however, couldn’t find the teen. Officials note that the case is still being investigated.

According to WXYZ, Zion and Brazier were reportedly cousins.

  • Man Arrested On Live TV After Toddler Is Seen Roaming Apartment Hallway With Handgun

Man Arrested On Live TV After Toddler Is Seen Roaming Apartment Hallway With Handgun

On Saturday night, those watching Reelz’s “On Patrol Live” saw police in Beech Grove, Indiana arrest a man after his son was seen roaming an apartment hallway with a firearm, NBC News reported.

In the beginning of the live streamed segment, police arrive to an apartment complex after someone called to notify authorities that a toddler was seen with a gun. After officers spoke with the child’s father, they begin to leave but are stopped by the caller, who had captured the incident on his Ring camera.

In the video, the young boy is seen alone and wandering outside of the apartment, wearing nothing but a diaper. Footage shows him waving a firearm around, cooing happily as he plays while unsupervised. He eventually re-enters through the apartment’s front door, calling out to his mother.

“That’s absolutely tough to see,” the live show’s analyst and former police sergeant Sean Larkin comments as he watches. “You could see the kid was clearly pulling the trigger. Had it been chambered, loaded, it could have been a horrific, horrific situation. There’s a point that he’s holding it up, and it’s literally, it almost looks like it’s pointing up toward his own face.”

Beech Grove police immediately returned to the apartment to search for the weapon. They eventually found a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson inside a closed roll-top desk. The boy’s father, who cannot legally own a firearm due to being an ex-con, was arrested and charged with neglect of a dependent and providing a firearm to a child.

“We hear these type of stories where kids come across and find these firearms, and these horrific results that do happen sometimes,” Larkin later says. “But seeing it on video is definitely very different.”

  • Texas Judge Sets $1 Bond For Repeat Offender Accused Of Kidnapping And Beating Woman

Texas Judge Sets $1 Bond For Repeat Offender Accused Of Kidnapping And Beating Woman

In September of 2021, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott signed Senate Bill 6, a bill banning the release of people accused of violent crimes on personal bonds. Instead, the accused will be able to post the amount of cash set by the court, or pay a percentage to a bail bonds company, The Texas Tribune explains.

“SB 6 is built on right-wing hysteria that violates Texans’ rights, not on public safety,” Laquita Garcia with the Texas Organizing Project said in a statement. “If implemented, this bill will lead to more overcrowding in jails and further criminalize poverty in our state, meaning more Texans- a disproportionate amount being Black and Latino, will stay stuck in jail solely because they cannot afford bail.”

Last Friday, 43-year-old Aubrey Taylor appeared at a bond hearing for assault and kidnapping charges. He’s accused of holding his victim in his car for several days and repeatedly choking her and beating her, Fox 26 Houston reported. Despite him being a violent offender, he was given a mere $1 cash bond.

“You’ve got eight prior felony convictions, two of them for robbery,” said Andy Kahan with Crime Stoppers. “He’s charged with two serious violent offenses. If I’m outraged, I can’t imagine what the victim in this case must be going through considering all she did.”

Judge Josh Hill, who gave the bond, says he was making his feelings known for the Senate Bill 6. Despite his seemingly good intentions, he’s now put the life of Taylor’s victim in danger in the process of his protesting.

“Someone has accused you, you’re in jail, you’re angry, who’s the person you’re thinking about,” questions criminal defense attorney Emily Detoto. “Who are you fuming over and who’s the first person you want to go be angry with? It’s the person who put you there, right? That needs to be rethought.”

Woman Raped Amid Drug Sting While Working As Informant Sues Police Handers, Believes Officials Failed To Protect Her During Undercover Operation

According to Fox, a police informant who was raped during an undercover drug purchase in Louisiana is suing her police handlers for failing to properly monitor her, which she claims caused her to be sexually assaulted.

The lawsuit states that officials, Rapides Parish sheriff’s deputies,

    “coerced”

her into becoming a confidential informant following her arrest on felony drug charges. She said they neglected to keep her safe and

    “protect”

her when the undercover drug buy went left. Fox reports that the sexual assault happened in Jan. 2021. The reported assaulter, Antonio D. Jones, was sentenced back in Nov. 2022 and sentenced to 10 years.

During the undercover operation, the unidentified woman was sporting a hidden camera that filmed Jones forcing her to give him oral sex and at a point, he stopped and reportedly did another drug deal. Officials waiting close to the scene was scared that the woman was in the

    “stash house”

too long, which was where the attack happened and one official even thought about going inside before allowing the undercover operation to

    “play out.”

Lt. Mark Parker, a retired deputy, informed The Associated Press last year that the sheriff’s office didn’t begin using gear that’s able to film in real-time until after the woman‘s attack. He told The Associated Press,

“We’ve always done it this way. She was an addict and we just used her as an informant like we’ve done a million times before. Looking back, it’s easy to say, ‘What if?’”

  • Organ Trafficking Ring Busted After 14-Year-Old Boy Discovered In Lab With Kidney Removed

Organ Trafficking Ring Busted After 14-Year-Old Boy Discovered In Lab With Kidney Removed

On Friday, authorities in Pakistan note that they discovered an organ trafficking ring when a boy, 14, was located in an

    “underground”

lab after having his kidney’s taken out. According to CBS News, the ring lured in young victims by promising them high-paying jobs before removing their organs, particularly, kidneys to sell for up to USD 4,000. Six people were arrested in connection to the crime.

A spokesman for the Punjab police, Rehan Anjum, told AFP,

“It was only after we followed the evidence and leads that we discovered that there was an organ trafficking operation behind the boy’s disappearance.”

“The boy told us that when he woke up there was an Arab man on the stretcher next to him, so we think that most of the clients were foreigners,”

    Anjum added.

The victims were transported to a testing lab in Rawalpindi that has been used for

    “clandestine organ transplant surgeries,”

reports the outlet. Labs for clandestine operations in Pakistan don’t have the proper supplies and tools and patients could’ve potentially died from difficulties.

The young boy’s father told AFP,

“I’m just grateful that the police found him alive, otherwise they had left him for dead.”

Officials say doctors who were involved hasn’t been tracked down.
