Some streaming platforms have taken tracks and the entire Kanye West’s Vultures 1 album off. More recently, Apple took off the TY Dolla $ign featured album, but Kanye had something to say to fans.
Kanye West’s Vultures 1 Cut Off Streaming Platforms
Streaming Kanye West’s Vultures is getting harder by the day, thanks to some streaming giants. Since the rapper dropped his much-anticipated album after months of procrastination, it has been called out or pulled off platforms.
Spotify first stripped fans of a track on the album, which was released in February, the chance to stream after it pulled off the Good (Don’t Die). Streaming services decided to take it down following the accusation from Donna Summer’s estate. They maintained that Kanye sampled the deceased singer’s hit track, I Feel Love.
Although he sought permission from the estate, the rapper was denied. According to HipHopDX, he went on to act without consent.
The recent setback the entire album faced was from Apple Music, which was initiated On Feb. 15. Apparently, its distributor, FUGA, complained that there was a sort of conflict that was yet to be resolved.
In a statement to Billboard, FUGA mentioned:
“A long-standing FUGA client delivered the album Vultures 1 through the platform’s automated processes, violating our service agreement.”
Following Apple’s action, Label Engine secured another new distribution agreement for the release of Vultures and Talking/Once Again.
Ye Reaches Out To Fans
The rapper refused to be quiet after the move from Apple; however, he did not mention the streaming giant. Instead, Kanye West alerted his fans on a way to stream his Vultures 1. Via Instagram, he said:
“With all the DSP’s taking the album down go to Yeezy.com to buy the album : ))).”
Meanwhile, Kanye has not commented on the accusations levied by Donna Summer’s estate, and neither has he defended himself.
