Father Charged After 13-Year-old Son Was Killed Watching Illegal Street Race, Reports Say Father Took His Son To The Race

A father from Florida, Johnny Martin, has been apprehended following the death of his 13-year-old son after the teen boy was reportedly killed last month during an illegal street race, reports the New York Post. Reports say the boy was killed by a speeding motorcycle.

The 35-year-old father reportedly took his son to an illegal racing event on Jan. 28. Close to 12:35 a.m. His son, Ethan, went onto the road and was hit by a motorcycle that was driving 100 mph, officials say. The young boy was later declared deceased the next day, while another bystander was severely injured.

It’s unclear if the unidentified biker has been charged as of yet; however, the father is currently facing charges of child neglect and participating in a street race as a spectator. Martin was arrested and later released on $10,000 bail.

“Ethan was always an energetic boy, who loved being outdoors in nature or at the beach. His favorite activity was fishing with his family,”

    says Ethan’s online obituary.

  • Female Student-Athletes In Florida Will No Longer Be Asked About Menstrual History For High School Sports

Female Student-Athletes In Florida Will No Longer Be Asked About Menstrual History For High School Sports

According to the New York Post, girls in Florida won’t have to reveal their menstrual cycle histories to participate in high school sports. During an emergency meeting, The Florida High School Athletic Association’s board of directors voted to remove questionnaires about the female athlete’s menstrual cycle from the mandate health form, reports CNN

The decision was made following months of backlash regarding the new procedure that requires athletes to answer questions about personal information. Although the questions are still asked, it gives students the option not to answer.

Democratic state lawmakers said that the question is

    “highly invasive,”

according to a letter to the FHSAA. Board members agreed that questions like,

“When was your first menstrual period?”

    and

“How many periods have you had in the last year?”

    wouldn’t be asked anymore.

The updated medical form feature would become effective next school year. The change came after attorneys for the association shared public comments about menstrual cycle questions, which were negative. Some people said that menstrual information could be weaponized against athletes who are transgender after the state banned trans girls from participating in sports with biological girls back in 2021.

According to an FHSAA agenda item,

“The intent of this proposal is to provide an updated … form which protects a student-athletes’s privacy while including pertinent medical information a health care provider at a member school would need access to.”

CNN reports the updated form would also request students to check off their

    “sex assigned at birth,”

as opposed to just their sex, which ultimately determines a student’s biological gender.

Man Charged For The Fatal Shooting Of Pregnant Girlfriend Just Days After He’s Acquitted Of Double Homicide

A Florida man is back behind bars for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend just days after being found not guilty of a double homicide, NY Post reported.

Billy Adams, 25, is accused of fatally shooting Alana Sims, the mother of his unborn child. 30-Year-Old Teacher Faces Charges After Allegedly Having Sex With 13-Year-Old Student In Classroom and Claiming Her As His ‘Girlfriend’

A Florida elementary school teacher, 30-year-old Davis Augustine Hodge Jr. is facing several charges for reportedly having sex with a 13-year-old student. According to Fox, the sexual encounters allegedly occurred in the classroom and Hodge identified the former student as his

    “girlfriend.”

Officials say the 30-year-old was affiliated with the school’s chess club and so was the 13-year-old girl. The sexual encounters occurred when the club met on Fridays after school

“at the West Homestead K-8 Center.”

Hodge and the teen met four different times each time involving sexual encounters. Authorities say the teacher admitted to having sexual contact with the minor. Officials revealed that Hodge was the teen’s science teacher the previous year when she was 12 years old. Hodge the teen originally began to communicate via social media.

They conversed on Instagram as the conversations initially began regarding school and then eventually turned into a sexual relationship. The relationship also included them sending each other nudes. Court records say he eventually told the girl to lie to her parents so they can see each other and advised her to tell them that

“she was staying after school for tutoring.”

The student and Hodge engaged in sexual activity three times in November and another time on Jan. 6, officials say.

A parent of a 13-year-old student, who met Hodges revealed that she is

    “disgusted”

by the allegations made against him.

“My daughter is 13, she’s in the classroom with them. They’ve talked to this teacher,”

    said Alexandria Jackson.

“They all think that he’s a great teacher, and he’s just grooming little girls. That’s crazy,”

    the parent continued, reports WSVN.

    Another parent said,

    “That’s my daughter’s homeroom teacher. It’s shocking, it’s disgusting.”

As such, the District has initiated employment termination proceedings and will ensure the individual is precluded from seeking future employment with the District,”

Miami-Dade Public Schools said in a statement.

An electronics technician for the United States Coast Guard is now facing charges of felony child abuse and misdemeanor battery after biting 3 pre-teens in his home in Key West, Florida, Law And Crime reported.

On January 21st, Petty Officer Third Class Craig Alan Hucker’s step daughter had two friends over for a sleepover while her mother was out of town. When the girls began “play wrestling,” which included “play hitting” and “play biting,” Hucker decided to join them.

“[The victim] stated that Hucker joined in on the wrestling match and bit [redacted] and [redacted], and pointed to the back of her right thigh, just below her buttock,” the affidavit states. All three of the girls had at least one visible bite mark. At one point, Craig reportedly licked one of the girls on her leg.

In the police report, the victims say that the 29-year-old insisted on speaking with them about “pet play” and “furries.” They told investigators that the suspect was talking to them about butt plugs and how they keep the tails on furries where they are. The girls said they attempted to change the subject, but Hucker “just kept talking” about furries.

For reasons unknown, later recanted her accusations.

Two days after the sleepover, Hucker was taken into police custody. He is scheduled to appear for his arraignment on February 7th.

  • Florida Man Arrested After Biting Python’s Head Off During Argument With Girlfriend

Florida Man Arrested After Biting Python’s Head Off During Argument With Girlfriend

On Monday, January 30th, at around 5:20 A.M., officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department responded to calls reporting a domestic dispute, Law And Crime stated. When police arrived at the apartment complex, they could hear the couple arguing, followed by a woman screaming loudly. After knocking on the door, the woman yelled out to them to “just kick the door in.”

After officers forced their way into the home, they saw an adult female and adult male in the entryway. The male, later identified as Kevin Justin Mayorga, attempted to run into one of the apartment’s rooms and close the door. As police chased after him, they ordered him to stop running and put his hands up, but Mayorga initially resisted. As the officers attempted to detain Mayorga, he began swinging at them, and hit one of them in the eye with a handcuff, causing a slight abrasion.

When Mayorga was detained with hand and leg restraints, the woman told police about her pet snake. According to the victim, Mayorga had grabbed her ball python and bit its head off just moments before the officers had entered their apartment. Next to the reptile enclosure, the decapitated animal was found.

Mayorga has now been charged with animal cruelty with intent to kill, false imprisonment, and resisting arrest. The 32-year-old is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $15,000 bond.
