Mother Turns Herself In After Abandoning Newborn Child In Tote Bag Outside NYC Building

Officials have charged 26-year-old Delfina Galvez, after her newborn girl was discovered abandoned in a tote bag outside a Bronx building. Galvez surrendered on Monday following the release of surveillance footage showing someone leaving the baby on a rainy sidewalk. The 26-year-old faces charges of

“reckless endangerment, child abandonment, and acting harmfully towards a child,”

    per the New York Post

A newborn girl, only a few days old, was left outside a building on Reverend James Polite Avenue near East 167th Street at 6 a.m., wrapped in blankets inside a tote bag. Her cries led someone to contact 911, and officials located the baby after talking to the unnamed caller.

First responders transported the baby to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was luckily, reported to be in stable condition. Galvez turned herself in after a video showed her walking with a bag, hooded, wearing a mask and glasses. Officials noted she lives close by and has no previous arrests in New York City.

Sleeping Man On Queens Subway Stabs Two Would-Be Robbers, Resulting In One Death

A man who was napping in a subway car in Queens early Sunday morning ended up stabbing two thieves who attempted to steal his bags, resulting in one of them being killed, according to ABC 7 News.

The violent altercation took place around 12:30 a.m. on a Manhattan-bound No. 7 train. The 69-year-old man was sleeping with his bags nearby when a group of five men approached him, according to sources. As the train neared the 61st St. and Woodside Ave. station in Woodside, the group attempted to steal his bags. It was at this moment that the man woke up and fought to reclaim his belongings.

This led to a struggle in which the man pulled out a knife and stabbed two members of the group, according to sources. A 32-year-old was stabbed in the chest, and another was slashed in the face. The entire incident was captured on subway surveillance cameras, sources revealed. Medics transported both victims to Elmhurst Hospital, but the man with the chest wound did not survive, police reported.

  • Anti-Israel QR Codes In NYC Promote ‘Free’ McDonald’s and Starbucks, But Redirect Customers To Disturbing ‘War Crime’ Videos

Anti-Israel QR Codes In NYC Promote ‘Free’ McDonald’s and Starbucks, But Redirect Customers To Disturbing ‘War Crime’ Videos

Fake QR code stickers are appearing throughout New York City, misleading people into thinking they offer discounts and giveaways, but instead, they link to disturbing videos of injured children and anti-Israel messages, as reported by The Post.

This strategy is part of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which advocates for boycotting companies perceived to support Israel. The Post discovered these stickers being placed at various chain restaurants and shops in Midtown this week. One QR code found at a McDonald’s on Sixth Avenue directed users to a flyer accusing the fast-food chain of

    “war crimes”

    and

    “McGenocide”

for supplying meals to the Israel Defense Forces.

“Hitting BDS targets including Starbucks, McDonald’s and Zara across 68 storefronts in Manhattan neighborhoods, activists enticed shoppers with coupon codes offering discounts and freebies,”

a video from the group NJ PalAction explained.

NJ PalAction is urging its social media followers to contribute to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) or the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), both of which have alleged connections to terrorist organizations. Those who can show evidence of their donation will receive PDFs to create the misleading stickers at home, which they can then distribute throughout the city.

New Yorkers are particularly troubled by the possibility of children encountering these messages.

“This is part of a continuing campaign to shock New Yorkers and to disrupt New York with nothing less than Jew hatred,”

said Gerard Filitti, senior counsel at The Lawfare Project and #EndJewHatred.

“They’re spreading disinformation that’s causing real harm,”

he added. Filitti also pointed out the legal concerns surrounding the vandalism of private property and the unauthorized use of intellectual property.

A 74-year-old man was shoved onto the train tracks in New York City amid an unprovoked assault, per the New York Post. The suspect, 28-year-old Deviante Collins, then frantically yelled out

    “I didn’t do it”

    before he was apprehended.

The unnamed victim stood with his wife moments before the assault. Luckily, bystanders helped him back onto the platform before a train arrived at the 149th Street–Grand Concourse station in the Bronx.

  • NYC Mayor Announces Identification Of Suspect In UnitedHealth Executive’s Murder, Says ‘The Net Is Tightening’

NYC Mayor Announces Identification Of Suspect In UnitedHealth Executive’s Murder, Says ‘The Net Is Tightening’

Authorities have identified the individual believed to be the murderer of UnitedHealth executive Brian Thompson and are closing in on him, as reported by New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Saturday, according to the Reuters.

    “The net is tightening,”

    Adams told reporters.

During a Police Athletic League holiday event in Harlem, Adams chose not to disclose the suspect’s name to the press.

“We don’t want to release that now,”

    the mayor said.

“If you do, you are basically giving a tip to the person we are seeking… Let him continue to believe he can hide behind the mask.”

Thompson, 50, who took on the role of CEO of UnitedHealth’s insurance division in April 2021, was shot in the back around 6:45 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Police described the incident as a targeted attack. The shooting occurred just prior to the company’s annual investor conference at the Hilton hotel on Sixth Avenue. Thompson, sustained gunshot wounds to his back and leg, and was pronounced dead at a hospital shortly after the incident.

The shooting led to a massive manhunt for the suspect, who ran away wearing a hooded jacket, balaclava and a gray backpack. He then rode an electric bike into Central Park, according to police. On Friday, police said they believe the suspect has left New York City after video showed him getting into a taxi that took him to a bus station.

“We have video of him entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal… Those buses are interstate buses. That’s why we believe he may have left New York City,”

New York Police Department Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told CNN.

MSNBC reported on Saturday that police discovered a jacket and Monopoly money inside the bag, but no firearm. The New York police have announced a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the shooter, while the FBI has boosted that amount by adding an additional $50,000.

  • Parents Want To Ban Diddy’s Name In NYC School After Young Kids Spew Diddy-Themed Jokes

Parents Want To Ban Diddy’s Name In NYC School After Young Kids Spew Diddy-Themed Jokes

Public school in kids in New York City are creating inappropriate Diddy-themed jokes, which have parents concerned, the New York Post exclusively reported. Reports say parents are petitioning to ban the music mogul’s name in schools as a whole.

Vanessa Mejia was shocked when her 8-year-old daughter who is a third-grader at PS 11 in Chelsea, told her that a classmate shouted,

    “Welcome to my Diddy party!”

    during class this week.

The 40-year-old mother informed The Post,

“I was just extremely shocked by it, because these kids are so young.”

“And then my second thought was, who knows how much information this boy had on the whole [Diddy] situation? Because if he is well-informed, did he really mean to say that? Or was it that he didn’t know what it meant?”
    she continued.

Mejia mentioned her daughter knows the name Diddy but not the specifics about Sean Combs’ alleged crimes. If you’re unaware, 55-year-old Combs faces serious charges related to racketeering and sex trafficking.

“It’s not kid-friendly information.… So if that little boy knows more information about [Diddy] than he should, who knows what is going to be told to all the other kids?,”

    she said.

The woman suggested that banning kids from saying Combs’ name in schools

    “would be a good idea”

to protect them from inappropriate topics related to his alleged actions.

Mejia shared her worries in an email to her daughter’s teacher and got a call from the assistant principal the following day. She appreciated the principal’s serious response, and other parents supported action regarding the

    “D-word.”

Mejia’s recent Facebook post got over a dozen comments about the troubling trend, showing that many people are worried about it.

  • Rudy Giuliani Goes Off On Judge Over $148 Million Defamation Judgement

Rudy Giuliani Goes Off On Judge Over $148 Million Defamation Judgement

Rudy Giuliani went off during a routine court hearing on Tuesday. Giuliani discussed his financial difficulties as he faced the consequences of defaming two Georgia election workers, per Huff Post

The former mayor of New York City was asked why he had not yet handed over the title to his 1980 Mercedes-Benz convertible, which could contribute to addressing the $148 million defamation judgment against him.

    “I don’t have a car, I don’t have a credit card, I don’t have cash,“

Giuliani blurted out during the hearing.

    “I can’t pay my bills.”

U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman reprimanded Giuliani for his volatile behavior and cautioned him to avoid outbursts during a sensitive hearing in Manhattan federal court. The 80-year-old, Giuliani, seemed offended by Liman’s disbelief that a former U.S. attorney had difficulty in obtaining a duplicate title for a car.

In response, Giuliani took the microphone and interrupted the judge.

“Your implication that I have been not diligent about this is totally incorrect,”

    Giuliani said, according to Reuters.

“Everything I have is tied up,”

    he explained.

Liman warned Giuliani’s defense attorneys that the court would

    “take action”

    if he interrupted again.

  • 360-Pound NYC Librarian Sues Employer For $4.6 Million Over Small Desk, Says Conditions Left Him ‘Traumatized’

360-Pound NYC Librarian Sues Employer For $4.6 Million Over Small Desk, Says Conditions Left Him ‘Traumatized’

William Martin, who is a 6-foot-2, 360-pound man, has filed a lawsuit against his employer for $4.6 million, for allegedly forcing him to work in cramped conditions. The employee claims he is

    “traumatized”

after being forced to work at a tiny desk, per the NY Post

According to Martin, the poor working conditions started in October 2021. He was reportedly told by a higher-up to work at the first-floor service desk at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library on Fifth Avenue in Midtown. In his Brooklyn Federal Court lawsuit, he described the desk as a countertop with uneven levels that had about a 12-inch drop and felt

    “cramped.”

Martin claims that his superiors engaged in discrimination and harassment.

“All I sought was just a service desk with the appropriate accommodation given my physical attributes,”

he said in the legal filing. His union eventually stepped in to help Martin receive proper accommodations. He eventually was reassigned to different service desks in the library.

However, nearly two years later, a new assistant director ordered Martin to return to the

    “cramped”

first floor desk. Martin said things got worse when he got a lawyer involved. Martin claims that the director started assigning him to a small desk much more often, which was

“detrimental to his health and safety,”

Martin said in the legal filing. He believes this was the director’s

“way to bully [him] and intimidate him, showing him ‘who is the boss.’”

A few months later, he was wrongfully accused of sleeping at work and was suspended. This led him to request a transfer and take medical leave due to anxiety and depression, according to the lawsuit. Martin is asking a judge to make the library grant his leave and is also seeking $4.6 million for his pain and suffering. However, a spokesperson for the New York Public Library stated that the case has

    “no merit.”
