According to ABC, actress Vanessa Hudgens and artist Julianne Hough have been selected as the hosts for
“The Oscars Red Carpet Show”
on Sunday, prior to the 96th Oscars ceremony. This will be Hough’s first time in a hosting role, while Hudgens is returning for her third year as a host.
This 30-minute program will air the night before the Oscars ceremony and will highlight the presenters, nominees, and performers, providing viewers with insights into the event and all the details. The 96th Oscars will be broadcast live on ABC, with Jimmy Kimmel as the host, starting at 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. EDT, and the webcast will begin at 10:00 a.m. PDT. ABC News Live will also stream the pre-show coverage, starting at 1:20 p.m. EDT.
Executive produced by David Chamberlin, the red carpet show will be a prelude to the special programming by ABC News, including
“Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!”
hosted by Linsey Davis and Whit Johnson.
“After the Oscars,”
the post-ceremony talk show, will follow the awards and capture the excitement of the winners as they come off the stage live on Monday. The 96th Oscars ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, with a live global broadcast.
