A woman from Alabama has been apprehended nearly two years after reportedly abducting a woman and shoving her off a cliff, according to the New York Post. According to AL.com, Loretta Kay Carr was arrested on capital murder and kidnapping charges for the death of Mary Elizabeth Isbell, 37.

WHNT reported that citing documents say the woman is being accused of kidnapping Isbell back in Oct. 2021. Isbell was reported as a missing person in Jan. 2022 and she was last seen driving a Jeep. Officials are saying that Carr is the cause of Isbell’s death after

“pushing her off a cliff.”

On June 25, the woman was arrested with no bail.

The motive behind the attack is unclear and officials haven’t further explained how the women knew one another.
