Young Thug’s brother Quantavious Grier also known as Unfoonk was recently apprehended on a gun charge merely months after taking a plea deal in connection to the YSL Rico case, reports All Hip Hop. As a part of the plea deal, Unfoonk consented to several probation requirements and one of those requirements banned him from having a firearm.
The rapper is currently facing charges, which include
“possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and unlawful for a person employed by or associated with a criminal street gang,”
reports 11Alive. It isn’t clear if these charges will have an impact on his plea deal.
If you’re unaware, in December, Grier pleaded guilty to
“one count of theft by receiving stolen property”
and
“one count of violating the RICO Act.”
The rapper
“accepted a 12-year sentence with two years commuted to time served and ten years probation,”
reports WSB-TV.
There were requirements he had to meet in order to avoid violating probation. These requirements consisted of not being allowed to commit any crimes or contact Young Thug or any defendants until the case concludes. The rapper wasn’t allowed to possess a firearm. He was also required to execute 750 hours of community service and follow a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew.
