Brooklyn Rapper Troy Ave Testifies Against Taxstone In 2016 Shooting Trial

In 2016, a fight between Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave and hiphop podcaster Taxtone resulted in the fatal shooting of Troy Ave’s body guard and friend, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter. On Monday, Troy Ave finally testified in court about the life or death struggle that transpired between the two, The Jasmine Brand reported.

According to Troy Ave, the two wrestled one another to reach a handgun, but Taxtone was able to get to it first. The Brooklyn rapper says that’s when he was shot in both legs.

“When the shot goes off, I see the light from the spark and I hear the shot,” Troy Ave explained. “This is all happening fast. I get up and start fighting Taxstone, trying to take him, grab the gun, and another shot goes off. I put my leg up to kind of block the shot from hitting me in the face or chest.”

After the shots were fired, the two continued to fight and Troy Ave was finally able to grab the firearm. As Taxtone fled the scene, the weapon misfired. The rapper then realized that his friend and security guard was lying face down on the floor.

“I rolled his body over and I’m like, ‘Banga, get up. Come on,’” he recalled. “I’m smacking him, and his eyes were rolling to the back of his head. His shirt was red, so I could tell he got shot.”

Initially, Troy was charged with attempted murder and gun possession for his part in the incident, but is now currently on trial for murder, attempted murder, assault, and possession of firearms. In exchange for his testimony, prosecutors offered Troy Ave a one-year sentence, as opposed to the 15 years he could have faced.

New York Mother Distraught After 13-Year-Old Son Stabs Sister Multiple Times

A 13-year-old in Queens is facing assault charges after stabbing his 14-year-old sister multiple times inside their home Saturday night, the New York Post reported.

Investigators say that during an argument between the two, the unnamed 13-year-old stabbed his sister with a steak knife, and then called 911 to report “somebody with a knife breaking into the house.” Despite suffering wounds to her back, legs, thighs, arms, and face, the victim was able to point to her brother as the attacker.

Rupiah Begum, the mother of the teenagers, is distraught about what has occurred. The mother of five says she was at work, five minutes away from the house, when she received a call that her son had attacked her daughter. Her husband, and the children’ father, was away on a trip to Bangladesh.

“I don’t know what happened,” Begum told The Post in an interview. “Everything is good usually. They play together. No problems usually.”

Begum says that immediately following the incident, the young suspect called her, stating that something was wrong and that he was angry. The reasoning for the attack remains unclear, but investigators were told by the child that the stabbing was the result of her “bothering him.” No additional information has been released.

“He screams a lot and there’s, you know, there’s a lot of yelling,” one of their neighbors explained. “They came here three years ago. Nicest neighbors we ever had. Never any trouble at all.”

The victim is alive, but is in critical conditions. She is currently being treated at Jamaica Hospital, while her brother and attacker remains in police custody.

Twitter Reacts To Aldi’s Penis-Shaped Easter Marshmallows

With Easter rapidly approaching, multinational German supermarket Aldi, has released multiple house brand items for the upcoming holiday. Among these products were colorful marshmallows in the shape of rabbits and chicks. Despite their intentions, shoppers noticed that the treats resemble something phallic, rather than the spring time animals they planned.

Twitter user @missviaborsi was one of the first to publicly comment on the penis-shaped snacks. She uploaded a photo of the marshmallows, commenting, “Sorry Aldi, but that ain’t a Bunny.” After thousands of likes and retweets, Aldi UK’s official account responded, “We can’t even defend this.”

Many commenters joined in in the fun, making suggestions on how to market the product better. “Put them in the specials as adult toys,” one account recommended. “I will take 5 bags please,” another joked.

Interestingly enough, the marshmallows were not the first Aldi product to be joked about online. Earlier this year, what many mistook as a sex toy was actually a vibrating beauty tool that happened to be phallic shaped as well. “I swear, they’re doing this on purpose,” someone commented on the coincidence.

When officers arrived to the scene, they discovered a 15-year-old victim with gunshot wounds to the chest and legs. With him was 35-year-old Chanel Williams and her two young children. “It is a very confusing case,” Deputy Chief Donna Seyferth explained. “We’ve got a guardian that’s not a guardian. We’ve got a 35-year-old female that has been with both our suspect and our victim, one of them being a juvenile. It has taken a lot of investigative work to get where we are.”

After locating the suspect, 19-year-old Diante Stokes was arrested and charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm, and violation of probation. He is being held at Brevard County jail without bond.

Victims Of Double Homicide Filed For Protection Order Against Attacker Days Before Their Deaths

During the early hours of March 10th, at around 1:45 A.M., police in Redmond, Washington were notified about a possible shooting. When they arrived to the house, the bodies of Zohreh Sadeghi and Mohammad Milad Naseri were discovered, Fox News reported. The body of their attacker, Houston man Ramin Khodakaramrezae, was also found inside.

Zohreh Sadeghi worked as a podcaster from her home, 15 miles outside of Seattle, Washington.

Khodakaramrezaei had reportedly listened to the female victim’s podcasts, and began communicating with her,” police said in a statement. “The victim and suspect became friends, but when things escalated, she filed a no-contact order against him.”

Khodakaramrezae began emailing and texting the victim about the tech industry, building a friendship along the way. When boundaries were crossed, and Sadeghi became uncomfortable with the content of the messages sent to her, she stopped responding. He then became obsessive, and repeatedly contacted Sadeghi, once calling her over 100 times in one day. After he began showing up to conferences Sadeghi was attending, and even to their home, they contacted local law enforcement.

On March 5th, Sadeghi and Naseri were granted a protection order against Khodakaramrezaei. A few days later, Khodakaramrezaei broke into their home and fatally shot them before turning the gun to himself.

“Our hearts go out to the victim’s family and the Redmond community following this horrific tragedy,” Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe said in a statement. “This is an incredibly sad situation, and the worst possible outcome of a stalking case. We will continue investigating what led to this tragic loss.”

“Basketball Wives” Star Brittish Williams To Be Hit With Additional Charges In Insurance Fraud Case

In 2021, Basketball Ball Wives star Brittish Williams was indicted on federal charges. Williams has been accused of misuse of a social security number, bank fraud, wire fraud, making false statements to the IRS, and aggravated identity theft. The VH1 reality star has pleaded not guilty.

Weeks before for trial, prosecutors have announced that they plan to file additional charges, Radar Online reported. Which charges they intend to bring forward remain a mystery, but court documents state that the court it intends to “present a superseding Indictment to a Grand Jury before the trial date” including them.

Beau B. Brindley, Williams’ attorney, believes that the new charges will be easily disputed. “The government continues to make allegations that far exceed any actual evidence in their possession,” he explained. “Whatever the new charges may be, we look forward to addressing them.”

Last year, the prosecutors demanded that Williams be held in state custody until her trial, stating that she had violated the court’s order by traveling across state lines. The judge denied their request, and even granted granted a motion brought by Williams’ defense team requesting that her ankle bracelet monitor be removed.

“The producers of [Basketball Wives] do not want the ankle monitor to be visible,” Brindley said. “This creates stark limitations on the outfits and costuming that Ms. Williams can utilize. Ms. Williams does not engage in work for which she gets to choose her own outfits and clothes.”

Brittish Williams’ trial is scheduled to begin next month, on April 17, 2023.
