The arrival of American women in 1870s London society leads to a clash of cultures as two different approaches to tradition collide.

This story was previously adapted as a miniseries for BBC Television in 1995.

Girls with money, men with power. New money, old secrets. Initiating an Anglo-American clash of cultures as the land of the stiff upper lip is infiltrated by a refreshing disregard for centuries of tradition. These buccaneers are sent to secure husbands and titles, but their hearts desire much more than that, and saying I do is just the beginning.

The Buccaneers is led by an all-female creative team. It is written by series creator Katherine Jakeways and directed by BAFTA Award winner Susanna White, who also serve as executive producers, alongside BAFTA Award nominee Beth Willis. The series is produced for Apple TV by The Forge Entertainment.
