Gynecologist Gives Up License After Reportedly Asking Patient Who Revealed Abortion If She ‘Had Jesus In Her Life’

A gynecologist in Los Angeles gave up his medical license after reportedly pressuring a 63-year-old patient about Jesus and suggesting Bible study when she mentioned having an abortion 34 years ago. The patient visited Dr. Lucien Cox for a routine exam back in September 2021, where she disclosed her past abortion during initial questions, according to the Independent

When Dr. Cox, 75, entered the room, he questioned the woman about her abortion and asked if she knew Jesus. After she said she wasn’t religious, he talked about heaven and the devil taking over the world. He then allegedly spent 15 minutes preaching and invited her to his Bible study class for women who feel guilty after getting abortions.

Cox who is now banned from practicing, then called his assistant and conducted a pelvic exam and Pap smear. The woman complained to regulators, which resulted in the discovery of another incident in 2014 where Cox attempted an inappropriate examination on a different patient. The previous woman reported him to officials; however, no charges were filed at the time.

Cox, practicing since 1979, was cited for unprofessional conduct and negligence, leading to his license being revoked on Nov. 5. His attorney claims he didn’t discuss Christianity or the devil noting that he just invited her to a

“Bible study program she might find helpful.”

“As always, a chaperone was present during the exam, which proceeded uneventfully,”

said Peter Osinoff, the former doctor’s lawyer.

Cox denied allegations made by previous patient. Osinoff stated that Cox has given excellent care to thousands of patients in the Los Angeles area.

Man Welcomed His Alleged Killer To Campsite With Beer Before Being Brutally Attacked

41-year-old Daren Christopher Abbey was apprehended for the deliberate homicide of 35-year-old Dustin Kjersem who was discovered dead in his tent near Big Sky. Initially, the attack was thought to be bear-related, according to the Huffington Post.

Dan Springer, the sheriff, stated that Kjersem arrived early on Oct. 10 to set up a camping trip with his girlfriend. Reports mentioned that he was supposed to pick her up the next day for their planned camping trip but never came.

On Oct. 12, Kjersem’s girlfriend arrived at the campsite with a friend and discovered him dead inside his tent, according to Sheriff Springer.

A migrant who missed an immigration hearing after being released at the US-Mexico border has been apprehended for reportedly raping a 5-year-old girl on Long Island. 27-year-old Wilson Castillo Diaz from Honduras, is accused of the attack in Westbury. Officials are investigating for potential additional victims, per the New York Post.

A criminal complaint states that Diaz sexually assaulted the toddler in his bedroom on Oct. 16 and showed her pornographic photos on his TV. Following the incident, the girl was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation, according to officials.

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder stated that investigators are still examining the case to see if there are any other potential victims connected to Diaz.

“In this case, this 27-year-old man did not wake up one day and decide ‘I’m going to rape a five-year-old girl.’ So we believe there may be more victims out there,”

    said the Police Commissioner.

Diaz, a Westbury resident with no criminal record, crossed into the US illegally back in April 2014 as a 16-year-old unaccompanied minor. He was released after a notice to appear in immigration court but later missed his hearing.

Sources reported that Diaz was ordered removed in absentia in 2016 for not attending his court date. It’s unclear when he arrived in New York or how long he resided there.

Officials reported that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been informed of Diaz’s arrest and issued a detainer for his deportation after his criminal proceedings. He was arraigned last Wednesday on several charges, including rape and child endangerment.
