  • Couple Stole Nearly $1 Million In Lululemon Merchandise In Nationwide Theft Operation

Couple Stole Nearly $1 Million In Lululemon Merchandise In Nationwide Theft Operation

A Connecticut couple is accused of stealing nearly $1 million worth of Lululemon clothing during a two-month theft spree across the country, according to the NY Post

Jadion Richards, 44, and Akwele Lawes-Richards, 45, were arrested on November 14 for stealing the expensive workout clothing from stores in Minnesota, Utah, Colorado, New York, and Connecticut since September. Their criminal activity came to an end when Lululemon investigators noticed the significant losses and the couple triggered a security alarm while leaving a store in Woodbury, Minnesota.

Richards claimed store employees were racially profiling him. However, the company’s investigator reported that the couple stole at least 45 items worth $5,000 from various locations the day before their arrest. Officers found several credit and debit cards and a Marriott hotel key, where they discovered 12 suitcases, three filled with Lululemon products valued at around $50,000.

The investigator estimated the couple stole up to $1 million in merchandise, though the complaint didn’t explain how that figure was reached. Lululemon items typically cost over $50, with sweatshirts priced over $130. The couple allegedly distracted store employees while one hid clothing under their clothes and jackets, the complaint said.

The couple, who live in Danbury, is also accused of eight thefts in Colorado in October and seven in Utah earlier this month, according to USA Today. Police have charged them both with organized retail theft. After their arrest, they were taken to Ramsey County Jail in Minnesota, but both managed to post bail.

  • 360-Pound NYC Librarian Sues Employer For $4.6 Million Over Small Desk, Says Conditions Left Him ‘Traumatized’

360-Pound NYC Librarian Sues Employer For $4.6 Million Over Small Desk, Says Conditions Left Him ‘Traumatized’

William Martin, who is a 6-foot-2, 360-pound man, has filed a lawsuit against his employer for $4.6 million, for allegedly forcing him to work in cramped conditions. The employee claims he is

    “traumatized”

after being forced to work at a tiny desk, per the NY Post

According to Martin, the poor working conditions started in October 2021. He was reportedly told by a higher-up to work at the first-floor service desk at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library on Fifth Avenue in Midtown. In his Brooklyn Federal Court lawsuit, he described the desk as a countertop with uneven levels that had about a 12-inch drop and felt

    “cramped.”

Martin claims that his superiors engaged in discrimination and harassment.

“All I sought was just a service desk with the appropriate accommodation given my physical attributes,”

he said in the legal filing. His union eventually stepped in to help Martin receive proper accommodations. He eventually was reassigned to different service desks in the library.

However, nearly two years later, a new assistant director ordered Martin to return to the

    “cramped”

first floor desk. Martin said things got worse when he got a lawyer involved. Martin claims that the director started assigning him to a small desk much more often, which was

“detrimental to his health and safety,”

Martin said in the legal filing. He believes this was the director’s

“way to bully [him] and intimidate him, showing him ‘who is the boss.’”

A few months later, he was wrongfully accused of sleeping at work and was suspended. This led him to request a transfer and take medical leave due to anxiety and depression, according to the lawsuit. Martin is asking a judge to make the library grant his leave and is also seeking $4.6 million for his pain and suffering. However, a spokesperson for the New York Public Library stated that the case has

    “no merit.”

Kanye West Hit With Assault Lawsuit By Former America’s Next Top Model Contestant Jenn An

Model, Jenn An is suing Kanye West and Universal Music Group for alleged gender-motivated violence, as reported by TMZ.

Jenn An, who was a contestant on cycle 13 of

    “America’s Next Top Model,”

has filed a federal lawsuit against West. She claims that during a video shoot in 2010, Kanye singled her out from a group of girls, and things took a horrible turn.

    “Give me the Asian girl,”

    she claims he said.

The shoot was for La Roux’s

    “In For the Kill”

music video. According to documents obtained by TMZ, West picked Jenn because of her revealing lingerie, telling her,

    “That’s why I chose you.”

During the filming, Jenn claims that Kanye began to strangle her with both hands and then

    smothered”

her face with his hands. He then

“rammed several fingers down her throat, continuously moved them in and out, and gagged her to emulate forced oral sex,”

    the lawsuit claims.

Jennifer says this lasted for over a minute. She said Ye screamed,

“This is art. This is f**king art. I am like Picasso.”

Kanye had only featured on the remix of La Roux’s song

    “In For the Kill.”

Jenn claims that La Roux later told a friend she had witnessed some

    “upsetting, unsettling”

    behavior during the shoot.

The scene never made it into the final cut, as the music videos for the song available online do not include Ye or Jenn. In the suit, she alleges the record label and other

    “high-profile figures”

in the business tried keeping the incident under wraps.

  • Mom Arrested After She Allegedly Left 16-Month-Old Son Home Alone While She Went Out Of Town To Meet Man She Met On Hinge

Mom Arrested After She Allegedly Left 16-Month-Old Son Home Alone While She Went Out Of Town To Meet Man She Met On Hinge

A Texas mom was taken into custody after she allegedly abandoned her 16-month-old son for a man she met on a dating app, per Law & Crime

On July 28, 2024, police in Killeen, Texas, received a call about a child hanging out of a broken window and a report that

“an aggressive dog was trying to attack the child.”

When officers arrived, they found a toddler with his head and shoulders out of the window. The window was broken but had been covered with cardboard.

Inside the apartment, the officer saw the boy wearing just a t-shirt and alone with two dogs that were described as very

    “protective”

of him. The police managed to contact the child’s mother, 25-year-old Reese Louise Myers. She said she had gone to San Antonio to meet a man she met on Hinge and claimed she left her son with a babysitter she found on Facebook.

However, the babysitter told the police she had only cared for the child last December, and their Facebook messages had stopped after that month in 2023. When the baby was found, he had a diaper rash and feces on his skin, reports reveal. Officers believe Myers seemed to plan to leave the baby alone due to the

    “precautions”

that were taken. They noticed that the suspect deadbolt and locked the windows. The doors were closed off, and there was a baby gate blocking the kitchen.

Police told Myers to return to Killeen, but she never did. She was arrested on November 5 at the Fort Irwin Army Base in San Bernardino County, California. Myers was released from custody in California on Tuesday. She was then arrested again by the Killeen Police Department the same day. She faces charges of abandoning or endangering a child, according to FOX 44. The boy is now with Child Protective Services.

  • Mom Convicted Of Murdering Her Two Toddlers ‘By Placing Them In An Oven and Turning It On’

Mom Convicted Of Murdering Her Two Toddlers ‘By Placing Them In An Oven and Turning It On’

A Georgia mother has been convicted of killing her two young sons

“by placing them in an oven and turning it on,”

    reports Law & Crime

Lamora Williams, 24, will spend the rest of her life behind bars, a Atlanta judge ruled on Friday. She‘s been hit with several charges, including two counts of murder for the deaths of her sons, Ja’Karter, who was 1, and Ke’Yaunte, who was 2, in 2017. The boys died about an hour apart.

On that day, Williams called 911, saying her sons’ deaths were accidental. She told the police that she had left her three children with a caregiver from noon until 11:30 p.m. and came home to find that two of them had died while the caregiver was away, as reported by WAGA.

“When I came in, the stove was laying on my son, on my youngest son’s head, and my other son was laid out on the floor with his brains laid out on the floor… I don’t know what to do. I just came home from work,”

    Williams told the dispatcher.

    “Can you please help me?”

    she reportedly asked the dispatcher.

“Like. Can you please tell me, like, I don’t want to get locked up because this is not my fault? I had just came home from work.”

According to autopsy reports obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the boys’ heads were caught in a flipped-over oven.

“These thermal changes appear to be entirely from dry heat and changes from prolonged exposure to heat,”

the medical examiner reportedly wrote in both autopsies.

“It would require an extensive amount of time to get to this degree.”

Police informed the TV station that the oldest boy, who survived, saw his mother kill his two younger brothers.

  • Man Living In Fear After His Ex-Girlfriend Was Released On Bond For Allegedly Trying To Kill Him

Man Living In Fear After His Ex-Girlfriend Was Released On Bond For Allegedly Trying To Kill Him

HOUSTON — A man is living in fear following the release of his ex-girlfriend, who is accused of shooting him multiple times, per WCNC

Elvis Muñoz was released from the hospital and is recovering at home after he says his ex-girlfriend tried to kill him. Muñoz said his ex, Alexys Pinto, fired so many shots that her gun eventually ran out of bullets. As he heals from surgeries on his lungs, intestines, and hands, he is increasingly concerned about her recent release on bond.

“You’re willing to take care of someone and love them so much for three years and for them to pay you with bullets, try to take your life,” Muñoz told the outlet.

After some reflection, Elvis Muñoz described his past relationship as abusive. Muñoz described his ex as jealous, controlling, and said she would isolate him from his family and friends. On September 5, his ex-girlfriend, Alexys Pinto, allegedly lured him to a secluded area near 288 and Airport Boulevard under the pretense of watching the sunset, where she then opened fire.

“That’s when I felt my left hand get hit,”

    Muñoz said.

“Like I just felt my hand get hot. I was running, holding my chest and stomach.”

Muñoz said she aimed the gun directly at his face, but he was able to move just in time, resulting in a bullet grazing his skin. After emptying her gun on him, he managed to convince Pinto to seek help. She contacted her father and drove Muñoz to a nearby gas station, where help finally arrived. Following multiple surgeries, Muñoz, who once worked as a mechanic, now faces disability with limited use of his hands.

Pinto was released on bond after it was reduced from $75,000 to $10,000. Although she must adhere to strict conditions, including wearing an ankle monitor, Muñoz remains skeptical about her intentions and fears she may attempt to harm him again.

“She might want to come back and do something,”

    he said.

Teenager Taken Into Custody For Deliberately Causing Forest Fire In South Jersey, Police Say

A 14-year-old boy is to blame for at least one of the wildfires that broke out recently in South Jersey, according to officials per Fox News Philadelphia

The fire began on October 30 and scorched more than 50 acres around Sycamore Drive in Evesham Township, lasting for several days.

Officials found evidence that the fire was started intentionally, and they identified a teenager who they believe ignited it. The teen’s name has not been released.

The 14-year-old has been arrested and charged with aggravated arson and putting others at risk for injury or damage. Police are looking into whether this fire is linked to the

    “Bethany Run Wildfire,”

which burned 375 acres and led to evacuations on November 7.

New Jersey is currently under a fire restriction because state officials have declared a drought warning due to

    “historically low precipitation.”
