  • Mom Outraged After Her 6-Year-Old Daughter Is Left Behind For 2 Hours During School Trip To Pumpkin Patch

Mom Outraged After Her 6-Year-Old Daughter Is Left Behind For 2 Hours During School Trip To Pumpkin Patch

A mother is outraged after her six-year-old daughter was left alone for two hours during a school trip, per the NY Post. While the other kids traveled 26 miles back to school, Cianni Allen, age 6, was found wandering by herself in a pumpkin patch at Tuttle Orchards in Greenfield, Indiana.

Cianni went missing during the school trip on October 16. Her mother, Dearra, 33, received a frantic call from the school staff at Christel House Academy West and quickly rushed to the school while a teacher went to get Cianni. Although the school has apologized, Dearra says their apologies are not enough.

“They’re trying to keep me quiet with all these apologies, but I don’t care about that. You lost my child,”

says the licensed health and life insurance agent from Indianapolis.

“I’m not letting this go. I’ve contacted four lawyers, and I’m pushing this out to the press. This needs to be heard. Teachers aren’t doing proper head counts, and these chaperones — parents who already have their own biases — are responsible for our kids.”

Her mom said that the rest of the class left the patch at 2:00 PM and got back to school at 2:45 PM. They realized Cianni was missing when the staff from the orchard called the school, reports note. The teachers then contacted Cianni’s emergency contact — her grandmother. Dearra frantically rushed to the school and Cianni was returned at 4:30 PM.

“Her teacher was there, saying, ‘I did a head count, and everyone was accounted for. I didn’t see Cianni or her pumpkin, so I thought she was already on the bus.’”

“Anything could have happened to her. Someone could have snatched her.”

Cianni told the outlet she thought she’d never see her mom or dad again.

    “I was scared,”

    Cianni says.

“When I was by myself, I said, ‘Where’s my teacher?“

    she told reporters.

“And this lady, she said, ‘What’s wrong?’ And I said, ‘My school is missing.’ And then they took me into their office and called the school.”

  • PTA President Allegedly Stole $40K From NYC Elementary School, Spent It On Amazon and Vet Bills

PTA President Allegedly Stole $40K From NYC Elementary School, Spent It On Amazon and Vet Bills

The PTA president at a school in Queens is accused of pocketing over $40,000 that was meant for children’s programs and using it for personal expenses like vet bills, Amazon shopping, and Uber Eats, as reported by The Post.

Athena Gonzalez stepped down from her position on September 27 after other PTA members at PS 166 in Astoria claimed she stole the money. The interim president shared this news at a meeting on October 7. The PTA’s secretary found out about the missing funds after noticing fraudulent bank activity. PTA members were first informed about the issue during an emergency meeting on September 27.

    Uncovering The Scandal

During the meeting, a $10,000 check made out to cash was placed on the table, but no one claimed to have written it, sources say. Another check was reportedly made out to Gonzalez, as mentioned by the PTA during a meeting in October. Members worked together to track the charges and found that Gonzalez used the majority of the funds over the summer, charging them to the PTA credit card.

They discovered that some of the charges went to her vet and noted that she had been sharing posts on social media about her recent vacations and a new car. The PTA members reported their findings to the principal and the NYPD. According to the treasurer’s report, the PTA had $64,817 in June, but by September, the balance had dropped to $12,564.

Gonzalez became the PTA president in June 2023. The PTA told the police about unauthorized transactions on their business account from December 11, 2023, to September 23 of this year, according to an NYPD spokesperson. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing. As a result, the PTA’s bank accounts are frozen, and some upcoming events for kids have been postponed or canceled.

  • Donald Trump’s Miami Hotel Faces Lawsuit By Man Who Claims He Was Seriously Injured Jumping Into 3′ 6″ Pool Labeled 6′ 3″

Donald Trump’s Miami Hotel Faces Lawsuit By Man Who Claims He Was Seriously Injured Jumping Into 3′ 6″ Pool Labeled 6′ 3″

A man is suing Donald Trump‘s hotel in Miami, claiming he got injured jumping feet-first into a pool that was much shallower than it was labeled to be.

The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, says that Salvatore Musumeci Jr. from New Jersey was at Trump National Doral Miami for work in February 2023. He jumped into the pool, believing it was 6 feet 3 inches deep, as it was marked on the deck. However, the pool was just 3 feet 6 inches, according to Musumeci.

He says he suffered serious and lasting injuries from jumping into the shallow pool that was marked incorrectly. The man is suing the Trump Organization and Trump International Hotel Group who he believes were careless in maintaining the pool area by mislabeling the depth.

He says his injuries caused him pain and required medical care, leading to high medical bills. He is suing the Trump Organization and Trump International Hotel Group for unspecified damages.

  • Rufus Wainwright ‘Mortified’ By Trump Playing His Cover Of ‘Hallelujah’ At Campaign Rally

Rufus Wainwright ‘Mortified’ By Trump Playing His Cover Of ‘Hallelujah’ At Campaign Rally

It looks like Donald Trump is being called out yet again for using a song at his rally that the artists were not very fond of. Musician Rufus Wainwright said he was utterly

    “mortified”

when he caught wind that the Republican presidential nominee played his cover of Leonard Cohen’s

    “Hallelujah”

during a rally in Pennsylvania on Monday.

“The song ‘Hallelujah’ by Leonard Cohen has become an anthem dedicated to peace, love and acceptance of the truth,”

Wainwright said in a statement posted to X on Tuesday.

“I’ve been supremely honored over the years to be connected with this ode to tolerance. Witnessing Trump and his supporters commune with this music last night was the height of blasphemy.”

Wainwright is recognized for his rendition of Cohen’s iconic song, originally written in 1984. Wainwright’s 2001 cover was also featured in the Shrek soundtrack.

    Trump played Wainwright’s cover of

    “Hallelujah”

during a town hall in Pennsylvania, where he

    “bizarrely”

spent almost 40 minutes just listening to music instead of answering questions, Wainwright described in his statement.

    “Turn it up. Great song,”

Trump said to his supporters as the song was playing. Cohen’s estate has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Trump campaign, according to Rolling Stone.

This isn’t the first time Trump has been told he can’t use a song at his rallies. Last month, a federal judge in Georgia ordered the Trump campaign to stop playing Isaac Hayes’ soul classic

    “Hold On, I’m Comin’”

    at their events.

Ex-Husband Of ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Sentenced To Seven Years For Hiring Mobster To Attack Her Boyfriend

The ex-husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Dina Manzo was sentenced to seven years in prison on Tuesday, reports AP News

Her ex-husband, 59-year-old Thomas Manzo, paid a well-known mobster to attack her boyfriend. In return, the mobster was promised a lavish wedding reception at Thomas’s restaurant.

Once he finishes his prison sentence, Thomas will have to spend three years under supervised release. A federal jury found him guilty in June of conspiracy, falsifying and concealing documents, and committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity.

Federal prosecutors say that Thomas Manzo hired John Perna, who is known to be part of the Lucchese crime family, to carry out an attack in July 2015. During this attack, Dina’s boyfriend was beaten with a weapon. The following month, Perna’s wedding reception took place at a restaurant in Paterson that Thomas partly owned.

Perna pleaded guilty in December 2020 to a violent crime related to illegal activities and was sentenced to 2½ years in prison. He was released in August 2023. Dina Manzo’s boyfriend is now her husband.
