  • Texas Man Claims Walmart Mistook Him For Shoplifter, Demands $100 Million and A Lifetime Of Free Goods, Lawsuit Claims

Texas Man Claims Walmart Mistook Him For Shoplifter, Demands $100 Million and A Lifetime Of Free Goods, Lawsuit Claims

Roderick Jackson, a resident of Waskom, Texas, has filed a second lawsuit against Walmart for $100 million in compensation or unlimited free shopping at any Walmart store for the rest of his life, per the NY Post.

This recent complaint follows Jackson’s initial lawsuit, filed in 2021, which involved the same incident and circumstances as his current claim against the retail giant. The incident in question occurred at a Walmart store in Omaha, Nebraska, in March 2021. Jackson’s complaint states that he is suing Walmart due to

    “false pretense of shoplifting.”

    He also states he is

“sewing [sic] for Civil Rights violations based on race/color.”

Neither of the complaints went into further detail.

On top of the cash and shopping spree, Jackson is also demanding that Walmart foot the bill for all the legal fees tied to the lawsuit.

A Walmart spokesperson told Fox News Digital,

“We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. Mr. Jackson’s allegations are almost identical to a lawsuit he filed against our company in 2021 that was dismissed. We intend to defend the company against the allegations once we have been properly served and will quickly ask the court to dismiss any claim that are without merit,”

In the 2021 lawsuit, Jackson filed a complaint against Walmart, accusing them of

    “racial profiling and wrongful accusation”

that resulted in his arrest. According to the complaint, Jackson suffered

“emotional stress and pain from the handcuffs.”

Initially, Jackson asked for a whopping $100 million and

“a significant credit for future shopping,”

but later revised the complaint to seek $175 million in damages. However, the case was dismissed that year as Walmart argued that Jackson had not properly served them and his claims were baseless.

  • 18-Month-Old Poisoned by Father’s Girlfriend, Who Reportedly Fed Her Harmful Substances Such As Acetone, Batteries, and Screws

18-Month-Old Poisoned by Father’s Girlfriend, Who Reportedly Fed Her Harmful Substances Such As Acetone, Batteries, and Screws

A Pennsylvania woman is accused of fatally poisoning her boyfriend’s 18-month-old daughter by feeding her batteries, screws, and nail polish remover, reports the NY Post.

Aleisia Owens, 20, was arrested and charged Thursday. The arrest came after an autopsy revealed that, Iris Rita Alfera had fatal levels of acetone in her blood. On June 25, 2023, Iris’ father, Bailey Jacoby, left her with Owens while he ran errands. Owens, who was living with Jacoby at the time, later called him and said something was wrong with Iris. Jacoby rushed back home only to find his baby unresponsive and immediately called 911 for help.

Iris was quickly taken to a local hospital for urgent medical attention. However, due to the severity of her condition, she was airlifted to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, approximately an hour away. Tragically, the young girl succumbed to organ failure four days later.

Owens initially told officers that the child had fallen off the bed and hit her head during a

    “cramp-up”

episode. However, the autopsy conducted by the Attorney General’s Office revealed that Iris had ingested various items, including

    “water beads,”

button-shaped batteries, and a metal screw, months before her untimely death. Disturbingly, Owens had also looked up

“household products that could cause a child serious harm or death.”

Iris resided with her mother, Emily Alfera, and her grandparents, while her father, Jacoby, had visitation rights. The father was not arrested in connection to his daughter’s death.

“There was nothing throughout the investigation to show that he had any knowledge or involvement about what happened to the baby. He was questioned multiple times and was cooperative.”

Aleisia Owens is now facing multiple charges, including homicide, attempted homicide, aggravated assault of a child, endangering the welfare of a child, and other offenses related to the child’s tragic death. She is currently held without bond at Lawrence County Jail.

Man Files $75 Million Lawsuit Against 27 Women Accusing Him Of Serial Ghosting On A Facebook Group

A man from Chicago is taking legal action against multiple women who posted negative reviews on the

“Are We Dating The Same Guy”

    Facebook group, describing him as

    “clingy”

    and a serial

    “ghoster,”

    per the NY Post.

Nikko D’Ambrosio, 32, alleges that he suffered from defamation, doxxing, and invasion of privacy when his name and photo were shared in the Chicago edition of the Facebook group. D’Ambrosio is suing 27 women who have been specifically named, including the moderators of the group. Additionally, there are several unnamed individuals referred to as Jane Does, and various divisions of Facebook’s parent company, Meta, are also involved. He is seeking $75 million in damages as a result.

D’Ambrosio claims that he had a consensual sexual encounter with the woman who made the initial post after meeting at an event in Chicago. They went on a few

    “unremarkable”

dates but did not enter into an exclusive dating relationship. D’Ambrosio claims the woman told lies including that he got

    “very clingy very fast,”

    flaunted his money, and

“kept talking about how I don’t want to see his bad side, especially when he was on business calls.”

The complaint says that the woman initially shared the post under her real name but later deleted and reposted it anonymously after his lawyers reached out to her. Her post led to a barrage of comments from other women who claimed to have had similar experiences with him.

“The defendants broadcast their outrageous, cruel, and malicious lies about the plaintiff with knowledge that the statements were false or with reckless disregard as whether or not they were true,”

    the complaint states.

  • Toddler Suffers Permanent Disability After Choking On Candy Land Gummy Dot, Lawsuit Alleges

Toddler Suffers Permanent Disability After Choking On Candy Land Gummy Dot, Lawsuit Alleges

According to a recent lawsuit, a young child in California has suffered permanent disabilities as a result of choking on a Candy Land Gummy Dot, per Law & Crime. The toddler, named Amelie Parades Sotelo, was unable to speak, swallow, or move after the

    “sticky”

candy blocked her airway on December 13, 2022.

“These candies were a ticking time bomb. We will pursue justice for this innocent little girl who was once a vibrant and thriving child but is now permanently disabled, unable to speak, unable to swallow, and unable to move, for the rest of her life,”

said attorney Thomas Bosworth, who represents the girl and her family.

“It is shocking that this level of brain damage is caused by just one single piece of this dangerous gel candy.”

A lawsuit has been filed against Frankford Candy & Chocolate Co., Inc., Frankford Candy LLC, and Hasbro, Inc. The lawsuit accuses these companies of product liability, failure to warn, negligence, and causing emotional distress. The lawsuit, filed in Philadelphia on December 28, claims that a 3-year-old girl suffered irreversible brain damage and spastic quadriplegia after chewing on a single Frankford® Candy Land Gummy Dot, which was

    “negligently, recklessly, and defectively designed.”

The Frankford Candy Land Gummy Dots display is a colorful image of the popular children’s game, Candy Land. The

“Frankford Candy & Chocolate Co., Inc., Frankford Candy LLC, and Hasbro, Inc., intentionally designed, advertised, and marketed for the purpose of attracting children of all ages,”

however, they failed to provide safety or choking hazard warnings on the packaging, according to the lawsuit.

Medical personnel tried to suction and remove the candy from her airway, but it was

“extremely difficult due to the excessive stickiness of the product and its extraordinary lack of pliability,”

court documents said. She endured profound hypoxia due to a prolonged lack of oxygen. The lawsuit is asking for over $50,000 in compensation.

In a recent incident reported by the Forsyth County deputies, a bank robber’s plans were foiled thanks to the courageous actions of an employee who fearlessly confronted the criminal, leaving the would-be thief empty-handed.

Deputies told Channel 2 Action News that an unidentified man walked into Regions Bank on McGinnis Ferry Road and passed the manager a note that read,

“Give me all your 20s, 50s, and 100s.”

Nurse Accused Of Substituting Fentanyl IVs with Tap Water, Resulting In The Death Of Up To 10 Hospital Patients

A nurse at a hospital in Oregon is under investigation for allegedly replacing fentanyl in IVs with tap water, which may have resulted in the deaths of up to 10 patients, reports the NY Post.

Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford reported the theft of medication to the police after suspecting a former employee.

Some sources claim that nine people died from infections caused by the misuse of pain medication, while others say the total number of deaths is 10. The nurse allegedly injected non-sterile tap water into patients to conceal the theft. The hospital had been aware of this issue since at least the fall of 2022, according to the Rogue Valley Times.

“There was concern that this behavior resulted in adverse patient care, though the extent of the impact on those patients is yet to be determined,”

Medford police Lt. Geoff Kirkpatrick said in a statement. Kirkpatrick did not confirm whether the deaths were a result of the medication theft or tampering.

“We’re investigating whether or not that behavior led to adverse patient care, which could be death, could be all sorts of other forms or things. … We don’t know that that resulted in deaths,”

he said. Law enforcement has chosen not to disclose the specific number of individuals who have been affected or lost their lives.

“We were distressed to learn of this issue,”

the hospital said in a statement.

“We reported it to law enforcement and are working closely with them.”
